Employer Opted Out Anthem Bcbs Ca

I had to do self pay cause Anthem doesn't cover any baratric on individual plans...not even allowed to appeal...
  2. This is called Posterial Hypotention. I didn't have it till after I got sleeved. Its where your body hasn't fully gotten use to your blood pressure actually being normal/low. It happens the most right after a work out. The key is to get up very slowly
  3. I had a drain...its literally not a big deal. You don't know its there unless you grab it. Its just a plastic ball that dangles. On the worry scale of the entire surgery, this truly is a level 0 - no worry. But if you must know more..you can find them in videos online...its called a JP Drain..

    Is My Body Just Done?

You're down to your core fat which is MUCH harder to work off. I'd take that calorie intake down perhaps to 800 a day for a week and see what happens. Also remember water is the key...and little/no carbs
  6. It's an On-Q pain pump. Worked wonders

How Long Until Your Self-Image Changed?

This is a great question. I'm down 70 pounds and I still look at myself the same way as before. Now I didn't have any self confidence issues before...so I'm hoping as the more compliments I get..the more I'll realize it.

    Your Input Is Needed.

Depends on how soon after surgery it is. Your chances of blood clots after surgery will already be high and flying will increase that. Talk with your doctor now about it and see if your surgery can be done in enough time to travel.
  9. yea this is a tough one. I weight daily when I wake up..but I RECORD my weight on a calendar only on Mondays. That way I can only use the "formal" number on the calendar for my tracking. In my head I've trained myself the monday number is the only one that counts...

    Do I Have To?

actually yes..you have to take the vitamins everyday, if you don't it can slow your weightloss and get you into poor health. But its not that bad, you can get most of them in liquid or chewable gummies. The only 2 I have to take in pill form are the B1 and the Vitamin D. Rest are like candy...

    I Dont Have Insurance :(

BLIS is a surgical certification program that WLS surgeons can go through. Its only for doctors with the LOWEST complication rates. So low that the company will actually offer a warranty on your surgery from complications. My doctor was one of these and I have a warranty on my sleeve surgery. BLIS also offers financing for WLS. Their website is http://www.bliscompany.com/

    I Dont Have Insurance :(

If you find a doctor that is BLIS certified, they will actually finance the surgery

    Does Everyone Get A Drain?

Its a as needed per surgery case. I had one...wasn't a big deal. Its really nothing to worry about. You don't know its there unless you look down at it
  17. Its going to be hard to find a MV with a power packed amount of iron if you are low like I am. I take an iron pill on the side with my Vita C each morning. 100 tabs of Iron was less than $5 at my local drug store. I use centrum chewbales as my MV and I too take many gunnies for the other ones and chewable. For the great taste of the gummies I'll take the 8 carbs it has.

    Revision To Ds

The DS is a procedure that's on the way out the door. My surgeon stopped doing them and said its far too dangerous with the new modern WLS options. Sleeve works. Its a great tool, just have to work it right.
  19. Nope I lost like a rocket too..40 pounds in 3 weeks...then it all slowed down to a stall for a week..then it kicked back in at a more "normal" pace. I'm 65 down now on week 6/7
  20. I was told the reason the liquid would take up the space you needed for food...

    Fried Food?

I haven't touched a fried food since 2 weeks pre-op (month and a half ago). I view it as a "gateway" type of food that could open doors to old habits. I also noticed how sugar tastes totally different to me since surgery. On post op diet greek yogurt tasted GREAT...now on week five its too SWEET. I never viewed any food before as too sweet! Guess my body is being re-trained
  22. I'm 60 pounds down and get the same thing at each business meeting I"m at. Rock it out man

    Washing Away Meds?

meds are absorbed in the intestines ...not stomach....same as nutrients and vitamins
  24. They are best when cold, but remember your body can only absorb around 25 grams of protein at a time...my diet doc said to allow 2 hrs after before doing another protein intake that counts toward daily goal
