Does Anyone Know The Limit On Carbs?
ShouldBlittler replied to mrsdaugherty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That sounds like how I've been. Lately, I felt hungrier. So I've been eating more calories. Now the weight has been coming off much faster. It's weird. -
Wow! You must be having trouble maintaining weight! That's crazy!

Feeling Down 5Days Post Op
ShouldBlittler replied to ready2bskinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I remember kind of feeling that way at first. But now that the weight is really coming off, and I can wear cute clothes, and my kids are saying mommy is getting skinnier, it is a distant memory. Persevere through it. It will get better. -
Sad part is, I also have been working out like a lunatic!

I was June 20. As of today, I have lost 55 with 45 left to go. I feel like this is a little slow. What do you think? Recently, I found that the longer that I sleep at night, the better my weight loss is.

I Need Someone To Hold My Hand
ShouldBlittler replied to Nicci's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was pretty scared also. I have three young children too. I just kept thinking, if I'm scared of getting the sleeve, imagine how scared I'll be when I eventually have to have open heart surgery due to my obesity. That got me through. -
Today (6/28), down 51 pounds. 49 left to go. Surgery was 6/20.

Spouses Sleeved Too
ShouldBlittler replied to billyvmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband and I got the surgery within two weeks of each other. It has as been very helpful having someone to learn with. The one rub though is that my husband has lost 90 pounds, and I have lost 50. You cannot compare a man's loss to a woman's. -
NSV shout outs
ShouldBlittler replied to BobBayCityMI's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Down just 45 since June 20th, but I am 5 foot so it looks like a lot. I had to return a bunch of clothes I bought two weeks ago for smaller sizes. A pair of pants I wore in the spring fall to my ankles... -

Teachers? Where Are The Teachers?
ShouldBlittler replied to ShouldBlittler's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well, first day of school I put on the pants that I wore for work in the spring, and they dropped around my ankles. So I tried a pair I wore when I was a little thinner. Ankles. I had to really dig but found a pair that fit from about 8 years ago before my daughter was born. -

Any Advice About How To Keep From Being Nervous Before Surgery
ShouldBlittler replied to tootblue51's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A kind of weird thought made me less nervous about the surgery. I just kept thinking about how much more fearful I would be if I was having open-heart surgery- a road I could have been headed down if I did not have the sleeve. It made me focus on the NECESSITY of the surgery, which seemed to help me. -
I love looking at people's before and after photos for two reasons: 1. It is amazing to me to see the confidence difference in people from their before to their after picture. All of a sudden, people are wearing jewelry, they have on trendy clothes and big smiles. You can just see that their entire demeanor has changed. This is the main reason why I like to look at the before-and-after pictures. 2. This one is weird. I like looking at the backgrounds of people's pictures. I feel like I can get a general sense of who people are by looking at what's in the background of their pictures. It cracks me up how many people have crazy things in the backgrounds of their pictures, as they were posing for the camera. Just saying...
