    Please Stop It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before my surgery my family and friends were telling me the same thing. "The surgery is dangerous. You can lose weight on your own. " The list goes on and on. At the end of the day it is your decision, no one has to live in your shoes, but you. Having lap band surgery was the best thing I could have done. I am more energetic and on the road to a healthy and fulfilling life.
  3. Hi All! I had my surgery on Feb. 20th, and it was a success. The surgery was outpatient so I was able to leave the hospital the same day. After I got home, later that night I developed a blood clot in my left leg. I was in the hospital for 3 days and being treated with Heparin and Coumandin. I will have to continue to take Coumadin for the next 3 months. Is there anyone who is taken coumadn? I am currently on Full Liquids, but not doing the high protein, which is making me very hungry. I was told I can not have my first fill until after I am taken off of Coumadin. Before leaving the hospital the dietician told me I could not have protein, so I have been unsure if I should be drinking my protein shakes and protein shots. I am waiting to hear back from my Dr. on exactly what diet plan I should be following. As far as losing weight; I have lost 9 lbs since being released from the hospital.
