  1. Has anyone had surgery at ALSA? Every seems to be far away from me. Lol
  2. It's kinda weird for me. At my heaviest I was real confident and really didn't care what people thought about how I looked. Now I'm always covered up because of how much attention I'm getting because of my weight loss. My personality hasn't changed. I'm still very sarcastic and immature at times around close friends but I noticed I'm distant around a lot of people.
  3. Don't worry so much about not losing weight. There will be times that you plateau. I was banded Feb 1 since then lost 85lbs. I've been stuck at 210 for about 4 weeks. As long as you atelier following the "rules" you will be fine. I started walking 2 weeks post-op and that helped with my weight loss
  4. I walk/jog everyday for at least 45 min (3miles) and do light weight training 3 times a week. What I found most important was to drink enough water. Good luck to you.
  5. Checking in at 210 down 1lb. Didn't have to get that fill so I'm pretty happy
  6. I went to my 7 mon appointment and luckily I didn't need a fill. I'm down 85lbs (46% of my excess weight). My doctor only wants me to lose 45 more lbs. I'm soooo stoked. Only bad news is I'm being check for H. pylori AGAIN!!! If that's negative then I'm getting checked to see if my band slipped.
  7. I drink myoplex lite. It's 170 calories 20g of protein. It tastes alright.

  9. I was hoping to have my monthly visitor since I hadn't had one in a while. I've been banded 7 months still nothing. It's been about 2 yrs now :-/
  10. My husband was my biggest support when I was first banded feb 1, he even lost 25 lbs. after 3 months he went back to his old ways and gained all his weight back. He would come home with my favorite candy and say he brought me a snack. I gave in for 2 weeks and felt horrible. I've learned I'm doing this for a healthier me. Every night my hubs deals with acid reflux because if the crap he eats. I'm lucky to have co workers and friends that support me to the fullest. My hubs is there for me but always remember this is for a healthier you!! As for the sugar habits. I have a horrible sweet tooth. I usually only allow myself a sugar treat 3 times a week and it's usually a Fiber one brownie only 90 calories
  11. I agree myfitnesspal pal is real easy to use. For breakfast I normally have 1 egg with 2 turkey sausage links. I'm ALWAYS running late in the morning so I buy precooked links breakfast is done quick and usually keeps me full til lunch
  12. Thanks. I think I'm needing some restriction to keep at it
  13. I was just going to post about getting a fill. I'm 6mon post-op never had a fill and I'm down 83 lbs. My dr told me if I lose 10lbs between visits I don't need to get a fill. I'm down over 10lbs but I'm debating if I should get one. I'm finding it harder to lose weight.
  14. Feel free to add me I'm ballajones I've added more people and it really helps.
  15. I personally love myfitnesspal it helped me lose 20 lbs pre-op and 80 lbs post-op and I haven't had a fill. I'm always under my calorie goal. I just make sure I get enough protein.
  16. I was banded feb 1 and my hair loss is barely slowing down ???”. I take biotin and a prenatal vitamin. I've read hair loss is due to not getting enough protein or iron. I also started using tresemme shampoo that's meant for hair loss. I've tried it all!! Hopefully it gets better for you. Mine caused a bit of depression after months of clogging my shower. It gets better and think of the big picture. Hair grows back. I'm thankful I'm getting to be a healthier me.
  17. I actually have a major sweet tooth. I'm 6 months post-op and enjoy fiber one bars. They are only 90 calories. I've tried both the brownie and chocolate peanut butter bar
  18. I have a job where I pretty much sit all day. My dr gave me 4 weeks off because I had hiatal hernia. Longest 4 weeks ever. I begged him to let me go back after 2. Lol
  19. I was banded feb 1 of this year and I'm down 81 lbs. still haven't had a fill and I'm thankful for the myfitnesspal app because it keeps me honest.
  20. I started off being 150 lb over my "ideal weight" and like you the thought of surgery scared me but so did the thought of having a heart attack at a young age. I put off surgery for a year because I chickened out. I was banded earlier this year and I won't lie I've had food get "stuck". Days I've had horrible reflux. Hair loss ???ž and just days where I miss junk food (personal pity party). I'm thankful for my surgery. I was off all meds the first month after surgery. I have sooo much energy. So my "bad" days are just bumps in the road. It happens. Best of luck to you.
  21. I'm ballajones. Feel free to add. I love this app! Keeps me honest. Lol
