    Hair Loss 3 Month Banded

I've read somewhere that low iron can cause hair loss as well. A month after starting a prenatal vitamin it stopped dramatically. I can honestly say my hair isn't falling out anymore

    Hair Loss 3 Month Banded

I started losing hair at 3 months. It really slowed down when I started taking a prenatal vitamin along with my biotin. Tresemme also has a shampoo that's meant to reduce hair loss. It's a rough couple of months but it gets better

    Skeptical And Scared

I started the WLS process March 2010 but chicken out because I wasn't mentally ready. I told myself I would give myself one last chance to do it on my own. After a year my weight fluctuated up a few lbs and down a few. I was constantly at the dr getting tests done because the medications I was taking for high blood pressure and cholesterol were affecting my liver. I decided I needed help. I had lap band surgery this past February and I'm glad I did. After a month I was off all my meds and I feel like a whole new person. I feared my personality would change but it didn't. I'm the same old me in a smaller healthier body. Best of luck to you. This forum is helpful in many ways
  7. Wow Sounds like my marriage. My hubby has a love affair with sports. So during football season I might as well consider myself single. Lol Best of luck to you and congrats on your surgery date

Checking in at 206 (-4lb). Didn't meet goal. But Onederland is sooooo close. Goal for next month
  9. I'm hoping one of you may have an answer. I was banded 7 months ago haven't had a fill yet. Just recently I started getting a bloated full feeling like I can't take a deep breath. My dr ruled out h. pylori as that seems to be a to be a problem with me. It's worse while sitting and gets better when standing. Drinking/eating anything makes it worse

    Bloated/full Feeling?!?!

Thanks all I do have an appt with my OB-GYN because I'm not having periods. The h. pylori test is a breath test. I'm not diabetic. And I'll be calling my surgeon tomorrow. He wanted to rule out h. Pylori before I did a barium swallow/ endoscopy. For now I'm putting myself on full liquids.

I Feel As No Band Is There.

All drs are different. Post op I was Clear Liquids for a week. Week 2 full liquids (smoothie). Week 3 mushies. Week 4 soft foods. I didn't get to "normal" food until week 7 Seemed horrible back then but it was well worth it
  13. So specific one. I just looked for a smaller pill and one with Iron. I read low iron can also cause hair loss.
  14. I was banded feb. hair loss started in may. It was horrible I lost a lot of hair. It slowed when I added a pre-natal vitamin. I get enough protein. I take 5000mcg of biotin. I found a shampoo from TRESemme that's meant for hair loss. It works wonders. Noticed a difference in about a week (don't know why the bottle is in Spanish. Lol I bought it at Walmart)

    Worried...!!?!

My dr didn't require a pre-op diet but had a strict post-op one
  16. This forum is awesome. There are so many supportive people on here. It also helps if you know people who have had some sort of WLS. They are the best support. Don't get me wrong I have days where I snack on horrible foods but no one is perfect. I just get back on track. And look at old pics. Lol never want to be "fluffy" again
  17. I think it Depends on the couple and how they were before. I know some people who get along fine and some that their relationship has changed. In mine my hubs stopped being supportive but I expected this because unless it involves sports it won't keep his attention. My hubby has also became jealous more so because a lot of people have notice a big change in my body. In the end both have to understand this is for your health.
  18. I haven't lost weight in about a month. I used to stress on it but I figure as long as its not going up I'm good. I am losing inches tho. I love running its a big stress reliever. I just wish my runnin partner was a little more motivated.
  19. I lost 15lbs in 2 weeks. Trust me when I say keep up with ur liquids. I passed out twice and ended up in the ER.
  20. Are you drinking enough fluids? I tend to feel "hungry" between meals. A couple sips of water helps that tho. For me it's mental hunger and boredom

    I Feel Like I Don't Belong.

I was banded 2/1/12 haven't had a fill and have lost 85 lbs. I do try to work out at least 4x a week for at least an hour. I know we shouldn't have more than a cup of food but the times I do I normally don't eat the next meal because I'm not hungry. There are also times (usually when stressed) that I feel tight so I don't make an attempt to eat solids so I'll stick with a protein shake. We are all different and I think we just all need to try out what works best for us. I have to switch up my calories. Take a week of from exercising. The constant change helps me. But most important keep up with your water intake

    Hate This Sh*t

I felt the same way it was frustrating. Since I'm the one whole usually does the grocery shopping I just don't buy junk. My kids and hubby learned to adjust. They still bring home candies and chips but I have my alternatives like fiber one bars and pop chips. I usually just want to taste it and I'm satisfied
