UUUUGGGGGG! I'm a great example of a relationship ending after having lap band! I've lost almost 115 Lbs. My now Ex fiance is 80lbs plus since we've been together. We started dating 3 months before I had my surgery 2 yrs ago. I've become A Lot more confident and he has lost all confidence that he has become unattractive to me. I've tried to be strong and supportive for the both of us, but i found myself putting ME last and my health last (actually gaining 10 lbs)! I stopped trying on "Us" and started focusing on ME and needing to also Love myself more. I also experienced through my body change that i was lying to myself about loving myself! I have body issues that I need to still overcome and I know I need to be alone for it OR have someone who is self motivated and supportive to be healthier!

So yesterday was my son's birthday party. I made sure to watch what I ate during the day to allow myself some cake last night. With sooooo much cake left over I was fretting last night before I went to bed about having it in the house and was questioning my will power.
Well this morning I woke up...and it was covered in ants!!! After throwing the whole thing out then cleaning and spraying...I was smiling! Problem solved!

Because girls have to transition from girl to women before they notice a good man worth spending thier life with over a hot boy worth spending the night with.
Sad but true.

Thank you for feeling the way I feel!!!! Some days I feel like i'm 250+ pounds again, anxiety about booths, or ppl looking at me when I walk into a food joint! then days I look into a mirror and my face looks like skin and bones, but I feel fat. I still have 30 or so lbs to go and I too have ppl telling me to stop loosing weight! I've never felt certain bones in my body before and I've never been the size I am as an adult! But there are still those days that creep up and I feel like Jaba the Hut!!!

I love my wine, captain, champagne (debubbled with other liquids and ice cause straight is TOO bubbly), ect.... SO i make sure to eat enough protein and a little carb an hour before i know i'm going to drink and i sip my drinks and i've had many over a few hour span and sip water in betwwen too!! I've had no issues with a good night of drinking after my surgery

Sorry if this is already a post somewhere, I'm new to these forum sites and i'm not sure how to search for topics.
So i'm a light smoker, and i quit smoking 2 weeks before surgery and cut down to only one every couple of days before that. Now it's been a week after surgery and my aniexty is starting to get the better of me.
I strongly believe that i need to be mentally ready to give up smoking before i can actually quit. Just like going for the lapband, you needed to be mentally pumped up and ready for a change, or you would'nt be able to lose weight because you wouldn't be motivated to. You can't just do it because people tell you it will eventually kill you.
With that being said, it's been a week after surgery for me and i want to know if its "safe" to smoke again. Or if i might get an infection or a chest infection etc.
Please don't lecture me, i know i shouldn't smoke but i just want to know the facts, When can i start smoking again, Can it harm my lapband, How much do you smoke with your lapband or so.
Like i said at the start i am a light smoker, before everything to do with the lapband i only smoked 1-3 ciggerettes a day. And i will probably smoke even less than that now i have my lapband.
