  2. Hi Shannon. Just being able to see all the posts helps. I didn't get on this website for long time. Partly due to my depression but also because sometimes people were so mean to others. That's why I like this particular thread. I see encouragement of each other rather then harassment. We are having lots of rain here in Texas, but the sun is starting to shine on me again. Thank you.

  4. Hello. I've enjoyed reading everyones posts on this topic. I've not been on this site for a long time. Have had my band for a few years. Lost from 250 pounds down to 160. Was happy with that weight because of exercise I was in pretty good shape. Then due to a death, I went into deep depression and for the first time in my life I COULDN'T eat, not because of the band. Because my heart was broken. I quickly dropped to 130. Husband, family and friends were very worried but my weight didn't matter to me. I could have weighted 130 or 630. I didn't care. I stayed at that weight for a year and half. Now, I am just starting to feel like I may survive the loss, my weight is on its way up, up, up. 183 lbs. I'm ready to get back on track. Reading all Y'alls posts is encouraging. Thank you.
  5. Jay Robb is my favorite. You can use the vanilla and mix tablespoon of any flavor sugar free instant pudding, skim milk and ice for a yummy shake. Lemon is my favorite.

  7. What I finally told myself was if I could do it without surgery, then I would have done it. After surgery, I hated myself and wanted to run back to hospital and have it removed. For about a week. Then I started losing weight. 4 and a half years later. No regrets. What I finally told myself was if I could do it without surgery, then I would have done it. 12. No pain meds. What a sick man. Don't know how your doing it. But, It will get better I promice.I really regreted surgery for about 3-4 days when I had mine. Was mad at myself, kept thinking, " I'm so stupid, I did this to myself." but it will get better.

  16. Ok, nobody move. I'm 2 lbs from goal. OMG! Why am I so terrified?
  17. Hang in there. It will be a tough few days at first. I really regreted having the surgery for the first 3 days, then things started getting better. I was banded in Sept and have lost 87 lbs. Nobody noticed the first 35 so don't get discouraged if that happens. Follow all the rules, eat slow, small bites, stay hydrated and enjoy the results.

  19. Good luck. I've had times when I wished I hadn't done this. ('Thats normal I think) But overall, I'm glad. I've been very lucky, the wt has come off easy. I'm 5 lbs from goal. Actually my lap band Dr told me to stop losing but when I pointed out my BMI is still in the "over weight " side he said 5 lbs and thats it. So, expect ups and downs. Drink LOTS of H2o. 6-8 glasses aday. And follow the rules.

  21. Has anyone had lipo after lapband? Does the port and tubing get in the way or look funny? My Dr said I could look into tummy tuck but just not interested in the awful scars I see online.
  22. I use Jay Robb and add a scoop of greek yogert and tbs of peanut butter.
  23. Wow, thats an old post. Hope you started riding and are still going. My husband bought a Spyder while I was 250 lbs. I was uncomfortabe, felt like a freak on it but enjoyed riding so much I just went for it. Now am 163 and still love it. Who cares what people think. Do what u enjoy. (My husband is happy for me but said he misses being able to lean back into me) We could fit another person between us now.

  28. I doubled the recommed dose at my Drs suggestion. Was having really bad hair loss. It helps but if I miss a couple of days the hair starts falling out again. Guess I need to ask if this is going to be a life time issue.
