  3. No pain meds. What a sick man. Don't know how your doing it. But, It will get better I promice.I really regreted surgery for about 3-4 days when I had mine. Was mad at myself, kept thinking, " I'm so stupid, I did this to myself." but it will get better.

  7. Ok, nobody move. I'm 2 lbs from goal. OMG! Why am I so terrified?
  8. Hang in there. It will be a tough few days at first. I really regreted having the surgery for the first 3 days, then things started getting better. I was banded in Sept and have lost 87 lbs. Nobody noticed the first 35 so don't get discouraged if that happens. Follow all the rules, eat slow, small bites, stay hydrated and enjoy the results.

  10. Good luck. I've had times when I wished I hadn't done this. ('Thats normal I think) But overall, I'm glad. I've been very lucky, the wt has come off easy. I'm 5 lbs from goal. Actually my lap band Dr told me to stop losing but when I pointed out my BMI is still in the "over weight " side he said 5 lbs and thats it. So, expect ups and downs. Drink LOTS of H2o. 6-8 glasses aday. And follow the rules.

  12. Has anyone had lipo after lapband? Does the port and tubing get in the way or look funny? My Dr said I could look into tummy tuck but just not interested in the awful scars I see online.
  13. I use Jay Robb and add a scoop of greek yogert and tbs of peanut butter.

  17. I doubled the recommed dose at my Drs suggestion. Was having really bad hair loss. It helps but if I miss a couple of days the hair starts falling out again. Guess I need to ask if this is going to be a life time issue.

  20. Hopefully they say it out of love and concern. But obesity is dangerous. I saw my regular Dr last week for check up and she looked at my recent labs and said, you've just saved yourself from being diabetic. I was boarderline and meds were in my near furture. If you do the research you can be better informed to deal with their concerns and be more comfortable with your decision. If people see your worried it will increase their worries. Good luck.
  21. Hi ya'll, Welcome to Texas and lapband. I'm south of FW. Banded in Sept and happy with results, weight loss, and follow up at clinic I had surgery done at. Good luck.
  22. Good luck to all of you. I regretted getting the lap band for about 2 days after surgery. I was in so much pain. If you are driving a long way to surgery center ask you Dr to give you Rx for pain med prior to surgery day. That way you can have it with you to take as soon as you need it. I got my script as I was leaving the center and had over an hour drive, by the time I got to our home town pharmacy and got it filled and it took effect I was in bad shape. Other than that remeber your riding the "Chew Chew Chew Train now" It is a big part of it. That makes you automatically eat slower, which is also important. So, I am very happy I did this. I'm 75 lbs down as of today. Banded in Sept.
