  1. Did you try being hypnotized? That was a good one.

Day one of pre-op diet. Did my Protein Shake and already wanted to turn to food as a way to relieve stress :( This could be a long two weeks. My day off and I'm thinking this would be a good day to tackle the garden full of weeds.

I'm with you lady!!! Already want food!!

  2. Hey! I had my surgery in Richardson with Dr. B on November 17th. So far I'm down 25lbs from the date of surgery. I have learned to be happy with that....lol. I figured with my PCOS that I would be a slower loser but so far so good. No problems or complications' date=' no pb'ing or stuck issues at all that I've heard so much about. I'm taking it a day at a time and a pound at a time. It's a new life style that I'm still getting use to that's why I think this support group is a great idea.

Trina, I have pcos as well and so does another woman in our group! I hate it SO much! Do u think it's helping your symptoms at all?

  3. So far' date=' so good. Just had 3cc's removed from the lap band on Friday... As it was too tight. The plication really keeps you from over eating. Which is a good thing. As it takes awhile for the lap band to be filled enough to feel snug.[/quote']

That's great! Gives me inspiration! With the plication, ur not suppose to need as many fills, correct? Have u had issues eating certain foods? Where did u have ur surgery done?

  4. Sorry girl. That really sux. I would consider looking into dr Ortiz in Mexico. He is a world renown bariatruc surgeon, he teaches other surgeons a over the country. There are a ton of people on this forum that have gone to him and it's a lot cheaper there. It's definatly something to consider. I'm self pay as well. Its alot of money, but for me it's now or never.

  5. Hi

I'm new to the site and was really happy to find this group.

I'm going to be starting my 2 week pre-surgery diet on Monday and my surgery date is 4/2. I can honestly say I'm excited and a little scared.

I'm glad to meet all of you and look forward to taking this journey with you guys

Hey losin4me! I start my pre op on Monday as well and surgery on April 2 too!! I'm soooo nervous and excited! Where do u live?

  6. You need to look into the new iband, it's the lapband over gastric plication. It's the newest wls. Im having mine done April 2. They are seeing results like with the sleeve. The best part is there is no cutting or rerouting of the stomach. They just fold the stomach into a sleeve and stitch it in place, no staples!
