I'm post op day 5, had band with plication. I have been having horrible cramping and diarehhea. Everytime I eat or drink anything substantial I end up on the toilet! Is this normal or happening to anyone else??!!

Today is day 5 and it's getting much better!

I have pcos! I was just banded on monday, so I'm hoping this will really be it for me!!

Think my dr said no straws ever! But I feel like I can control my sips better with a straw...???

Yes, take ur pain meds!!! Lol! That's what they are there for! I had horrible gas pains!! Take 3 gas x strips and some pain meds walk around...if you have stairs slowly go up and down the stairs, that helped alot. I also took two pillows and laid my tummy on top of them with my bottom facing up, it helped me pass gas! But seriously the meds help alot

Hey kami, who did ur surgery? I was banded with plication yesterday and I'm pretty sore and gassy! How much have u lost? How is the plication working for u?

Use banded yesterday with plication. Is it normal that I feel like I have the worst heartburn and chest pressure ever?! Is this gas?? I can't even eat broth or Jello and it's hard to keep my Water down

Thanks everyone! No gas pains yet! Just really sore, mainly is my upper chest and port site. I'm not hungry at all, it's difficult to drink to much Water or anything right now. I must be really swollen inside

Well tomorrow is almost here! I get my band and plication at 1230 tomorrow. I'm nervous, excited and scared! Any last minute things I should prepare today? What were the best things you had around post op?

What are everyone's favorite chewable vitamins. I'm looking at Bariatric Advantage, but are the expensive ones really necessary?

I would NOT of wanted to go back to work the next day! Wow! I'm shocked your doctor told you that. lol I don't think I would of made it.. I went back to work a week later and was still very week. My boss was pretty nice about it. What do you do?

I had it at Rose Medical Hospital by Dr. Snyder. Don't freak out! I know it will be worth it in the end.

I am a weenie when it comes to pain ; ) It was just different and because there isn't a lot known about

it' date=' its hard to know what to expect in pre-op. My mom had the Lap Band and she is telling me I should

feel a certain way but because of the plication we have no idea what else is supposed to happen.[/quote']

Well if it helps at all, I'm in Dallas and know a woman that had the band and plication in November and has lost 70lbs! So it's worth the pain! Good luck, it will get better soon. Please keep me updated

Guitar--where did u have ur surgery done? My band with plication surgery is 4/2...now I'm freaking out a little! Lol

Just a thought...we should all get the myfitnesspal app and add each other as friends do we can hold each other accountable and get ideas from each others diets whatcha think?? I am tahneesamson on there as well

I am now three days out from the iBand and just moved to mushies... Still sore but feeling awesome! Dr. Adam Smith was awesome!!! I had mine done at the Surgery Center of Fort Worth and the staff there is really nice... Good Luck to everyone...

So the surgery wasn't too bad?? I'm psyching myself out!! I started my pre op diet today and I'm starving!

I know I think they want to torture us!! Lol! Some people don't have a pre op diet. I get 2 Protein Shakes, Soup, Jello and sugar free Popsicles and pudding in moderation of course

Started off really good but then all hell broke loose!! Ugh! I'm so mad at myself. Day one and I already blew it. Tomorrow is a new day. I need a pep talk!!

That's great!!! Keep me posted...do excited for you I had my pre op and nutrition appt today. It's 2 weeks away and I'm freaking out! But in a good way. If I can just make it thru this 2 weeks of liquids!!! Lol!
