Hey, where are u at in dfw? Are u already banded or when is ur surgery date?

Sazparella-- it's a total catch 22 and I hate it! Hopefully the band will help us since our condition is hormonal. But I have read about many women being successful with their bands. I do think WE will have to work extra hard. That us why I wanted a buddy!

Sazparella- pcos and band buddies! I find more and more women with pcos. I absolutely hate it! It's a horrible condition. I'm nervous that it's gonna be harder for me to lose even banded becaz it always has been for me. Congrats to all the ladies doing so well, it's very inspirational!

Yea! I'm Tahnee, im a 31 yr old hairdresser from dallas tx. Ive struggled with my weight my entire life. I just got married last year and im hoping to have babies in the next couple years. That is why i want to get healthy now! I start my pre op diet on march 19th but I have been trying to eat healthy and smaller portions. But due to my lovely pcos, no matter what I do i NEVER lose weight unless it's something drastic! Needless to say I'm very excited about this surgery but also really nervous! How much weight are u hoping to take off??

My hubby has got me all worried!! He keeps asking me if I'm ready to not be able to eat out again like a "normal" person and have to worry about going to the restroom while out with friends and family to go vomit! He makes me so worried about it. He's supportive no matter what I decide, but I really don't think he wants me to do it (

I'm horrified of losing my hair too! I already have thin hair from pcos!! I'm also scared about having a foreign object in my body! What if it causes permanent damage to my stomach?!?! But I guess being fat is more harmful to me!

That's great! Do u think the plication has helped alot? I'm getting my band with plication on April 2 and I'm really nervous!

Where did y'all have ur plication done?

U look great! I have a question, can u wear a swimsuit without your port showing? Does your port show at all now that ur skinny?

Hey jenn- I have pcos and will be banded on April 2nd! Did it help alot with ur pcos? I'm excited but don't want to get my hopes up. I also have NO sex drive but I'm still fat! Lol

Melinda--congrats on ur success! That's great! Thankyou so much for sharing all that with me. It makes me really positive about it. Are u able to eat anything or do u have trouble with certain foods? How many fills have you had so far?

Rae, how long did u take off work? I'm only able to take a week. Has the plication been working well? Do you get full faster and feel satisfied on less food? Are you on solids yet?

I'm self pay as well. I looked into Dr Ortiz, he is suppose to be a great dr. I really wanted the new plication but he doesn't do the band with it, he does one or the other. But he has amazing prices! I can't wait to hear about ur experience. We have to keep each other updated!

Losin, so glad to hear it! Who did ur surgery? I'm a little nervous caz my surgeon has only done 40 or them. How has the pain been?
