    WLS for Binge Eaters?

    I agree with B on some points. it is very hard for me to physically overeat.....when my mother died recently, i reverted back to wanting to eat to comfort me...my lap band would NOT allow that to happen....i also was and will forever be a binge eater...the more the better is how i see it...any WLS works if used as the doctor advises but it also boils down to the patient making changes in their lives...best of luck to you on whatever you choose.

    Lacking genuine support but hearing horror stories

    there are horror stories with anything (even getting a pedicure has risks) as others before me have said, its about health...or it should be...when we are healthier, we feel better and it shows on the OUTSIDE as well as the inside..there are people who are for and people who are against any WLS. Listen to your doctor..if you want to get well, then do it...i had surgery 2 1/2 years ago. i had troubling wiping my backside that had its own zip code......those neg nellies were not going to wipe it for me.....it was and it remains UP TO ME to help my chosen WLS to make me healthy.... there is good and bad with any WLS...sometimes things happen and sometimes they dont today, 13 yrs ago, people went to work in NY or got on planes. like any other day...remember that.. its YOUR life...live it and make the most of it.. all the best.

    b52 said something in a post of his that is soooooooo right the f**k on and i had to share: The band is the band is the band. I may change and have ups and downs, but the band does not. when i was stressing and wallering, my food choices changed as did my amounts (yep i ate past my stopping signals) but my band helped me NOT overeat and helped me NOT drink to destruction (my band gives me wall at about 3 drinks (nope no carbonation only a mixture)... so the band does do its JOB i now will do mine who is with me?

    Slow losers, how do you stay motivated?

    how to stay motivated? how about putting on clothes that were too tight or you couldnt even pull up over your thighs and walaa..now they fit or they are even too big? do that and that will keep you motivated (that is what i do) some others: being able to put socks on or paint your toenails wiping your own butt walking more than 10 steps without dying not using a cpac anymore those were some of my non scale victories..as long as one is LOSING who cares how long it takes to get to our goal we want to be at....its not a race its an endurance to last a lifetime..YOURS...

    Chicken recipes PLEASE

    hm....i eat chicken every dangum day.. chicken breast wrapped in foil (with italian dressing or bbq sauce or carolina bbq vinegar) is faves of mine and i take the breast, cut into stripes and have ceasar salad often (and yep, pan fry them sometimes)....so many options...anxious to read other peoples offerings myself

  13. whatever WLS you and your doctor feels is best for you and your (lifestyle) i wish you all the best...please note that just having WLS wont fix/solve your weight issues. it will help but it is UP to you to eat better (yep you can and you will) and exercise (start small and finish strong) and do the best you can and as your doctors advise for best results. you can do it..best of luck

    hang in there......i had the last week off due to my mothers passing and today is the first day back for me..i am very tired....stress has made my whole body sore and i am fretting over EVERYTHING and esp over things i have no control over.... deep breath give yourself a time out if you need to... sorry i cant answer and make you feel better but i wanted to reach out and send some love.

    how do you over come a stall?

    you keep doing what you do......eating as clean/healthy as you can, exercise, drink and stay hydrated and judge your true/actual success by your better health and clothes getting looser and looser....just because the scale doesnt move (in my opinon) does not mean a stall....it just hasnt caught up yet...

    i was banded in 2012 also we be related so what, you gained it back.....so lets just do what we did when we had surgery (def see your dr and have your band checked out via fluro if possible to see if in great working order) and then revert to Protein, veggies, fruit and a lot of liquids (stop at 20 min eating mark (my dr recommends that but others vary so if in doubt, ask yours).......stop at 1 to 1 1/2 or 2 cups of food.......basic basic formats... you lost it once and by gawd you will do it again
