  1. My doctor is the same way- they feel that it is better to give small fills every 5 to 6 weeks then over fill and have you be to tight. I am a year out as of today and only have 3.7 in a 10cc band. It has been a very long and frustrating year as I just thought I would be further along in weight loss by now. So I completely understand an cant wait to find the green zone.

  3. I have to chime in- I had this same feeling happen to me a few months ago. I ha Fluid removed, went in and they checked my esophagus everything. I can only come to think that after get in stuck I was going back to eating to big of bites and causing more swelling. I have been focusing on small, small bites and if I get stuck then I go back to liquids or mushy food for the next 24 hours.

Hope this helps but might also see about getting a little Fluid removed and taking it easy. I didn't think it was the band either but haven't had that since paying closer attention.

  4. Yep... rude a lot if you call that rude. I call it my opinion to which I am entitled. I do not think prospective lap band patients need to learn about the pitfalls of bariatric surgery from anyone but their doctor. The originator came over her to stick her finger in the eye of every band patient who did not do it her way. IMHO it cam across that way. I appreciate her need to share' date=' but If I want to know about gastric sleeve I will go over to their forum and read about it. Not post about how wonderful my lap band journey has been. If you call my opinion rude... don't read it or block me so I cannot offend your tender sensibilities anymore. Peace![/quote']c

Can you please share how to block?

  5. Why? Just why? Until you know the answer' date=' this will continue to happen t you along your journey. It takes a lot of energy to analyze ourselves and understand out eating patterns. Good luck with yours![/quote']

First, if we where that great with food we would all would not have or considered having weight loss surgery. Changing your food habits and your relationship with food takes time. If you slip up, beware of it and start over again. It will be ok, have been there a few times through my journey (1 year post op) and keep learning from each time.

  6. I called the insurance and their only requirement is 5 years of weight records. No 6 months of supervised nutrition or anything' date=' Yes each insurance company is different. It depends on the employer, not the insurance company, It can get crazy. Thanks for the info.......[/quote']

Yes I know the employer makes the decision to have it as a covered option etc but your insurance should have all the details of requirement.
