  1. Wish I felt as good. I'm on day 2 of my 800 calorie Optifast diet. Being banded on the 5th. My head hunger is annoying. Keep up the good work!
  2. Ate you sure it's 3 more weeks of clears? Not just liquids? Big difference between clear liquids and full liquids. I've read somewhere here someone misread their post op instructions and was on clears far longer than the MD intended. Congrats on your weight loss!
  3. There is a doctor sitting in front of me eating skittles. I told her I would chase her down and sit on her for them. The good news is that day one is over and I only have 13 left to go. Oooh. Popcorn sounds good. Nevermind that. Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels......... Right?
  4. Polyanna- I laughed so hard with your description of your husband. I can see mine doing the EXACT same thing. I just started my pre op liquid diet today and my son sweetly saw me eyeing his wheat thins and offered me some. My husband was all over it. Comical.
  5. Congrats! I'm glad it went so well for you!
  6. Where did you get the gas x strips? I haven't been able to find them at my grocery store or my CVS.
  7. This is Day 1 of my two week liquid protein 800 calorie diet. Ive been awake for about 5.5 hours and haven't cracked yet! Lol. My head is being aweful. I don't like Taco bell much, never had. Why oh why would I give my pinky nail for Taco Bell right now? This is going to be a long two weeks if my brain doesn't knock it off. I can do this! White knuckle it if I have to.
  8. I want to be you when I grow up! I hope to be just as successful.
  9. Me too! Must have been something in the air yesterday,
  10. While it's good to look at all aspects of the band I completely second what Deb said. Only you can decide if the band is the right tool for you. Whether you use your tool correctly or not is up to you. Ask yourself what you would do if you were not afraid of anything? Just the facts and how both would affect your life. Good luck Glove, I hope you find peace with whichever decision you make.
  11. I hope it's nothing too. I really hope this one is normal. If not it's off to the cardiologist I go. I sincerely hope there is nothing wrong with my heart, and I also don't want my surgery that's in two weeks postponed. I'll choose not having a heart problem over the delay any day. Momba- was yours postponed? *manda Darned autocorrect
  12. Thanks Jen 1381. Easier said than done when trying to not be anxious.
  13. During my pre-op evaluation I had a borderline EKG, they repeated it with the same results. It didn't say what was borderline. I just got a phone call that my PCP is making me come in and have another one tomorrow. Freaking out a little. Anyone else have this happen?
  14. Some doctors take you off of BC because of the risks associated with them. Blood clots, heart attack, etc. Since we are at increased risk of blood clots post surgery anyway mine doesn't want to add to the risk.
  15. I don't know how I feel about her being the spokesperson. If she's informative and tells everyone it's a TOOL.... But will see
  16. How much is shipping? Perhaps if you bought it online it would save you some hassle
  17. Welcome to the group Renee. I hope we can give you all of the support you need
  18. I FINALLY got off of my last supper syndrome diet. Which surprises me because I don't start my liquid diet until tomorrow. I thought I would be eating everything in sight. I'm still apprehensive about the liquid diet but I feel confidant right now (huge for me). I had all if my pre-op work on Monday. My EKG came back borderline, not sure what that's about. The barium swallow was YUCKY! The only other thing I'm worried about is my CBC. If my WBC's are elevated I may have an issue. I'm sure I can show them that its normal for me. In any case, yesterday was my PCP medical clearance. No problems there. I did Zumba for the first time last night and it was a blast! I'm definitely doing it again. And again. Then they had a free nutrition class afterwards and body analysis. It's no suprise my numbers were horrid. Except my bone density. That was above average. It's ok though. That is the last time I will see those numbers. My mind flipped a switch. I'm ready, I can do this, I will do this. I used to think " I can't wait!". Now I think "no more waiting, I AM doing this" There is all sorts of fast food places around the Zumba place, but I went home. I probably should have eaten protein at home, but the thought of food made me sick last night. I was disgusted with food. Even healthy food. Since I joined this site and did all of the required tests and classes I've been preparing. I've gained some confidence. Until last night I didn't have the feeling of finality. Here it is, and it feels wonderful. Ready, set, go! It's a marathon, not a sprint, but I will do it. P.s. Someone please remind me of this when I'm starving from the liquid diet. Did anyone else have something like this happen or was the ready, set, go accomplished when you decided to have it done?
  19. Good thinking GLove! I'm going to take a Zumba class for the first time (pre surgery). Hopefully I will like it enough to continue.
  20. I haven't been banded yet but have experimented with two different ones so far. I did the punch Isopure and strawberry jello (pretty good). Then the blue Isopure and raspberry jello. So far so good
  21. You can do the same with SF, FF pudding. I made it and it was yummy!
