Can't wait to bask in the shine of the ring in Alabama!! BTW Haydee, I have been known to sing Ave Maria on occasion.. *hint, hint* Just back from 3 hours at the hospital. I have to go back Friday to do more so I can be gone for two weeks. Off to the pool and some exercising and then soaking in some sun.

Good morning,Violets.. Hope all our vacationing Violets are having a great time. Also hoping to hear from Heather and how she's doing with her new little angel. My busy day is history and today all I have is my volunteer hospital shift. Then it's POOL time! It's 55 degrees right now and supposed to get up into the 70's for the week. I know that should downright chilly to you people in the south, but to us here, that's a heat wave! PamELa.. have a wonderful last day at work. Congrats on finishing another year. You're one year closer to retirement now! Kat.. Bob has been having a rough time with his depression lately and has been sitting under his blue light which helps. Hope you feel better soon. Good afternoon, Violets.. Finally able to get into our thread. I hate not being able to post in here! Had a great day. Support group was really good with 15 of us there. Then off to the hospital to take Kathy her shirt for tomorrow. It's gospel Sunday and the choir wears denim shirts and khaki pants. Kathy has lost weight with the band so I had to take her a new size. She went home from the hospital today and is doing great. Then I came home to a screaming baby Grady and it took a half hour to get him calmed down. After that he was fine. He has real separation issues with his mommy. After Kris picked Grady up, Bob and I went in the pool. I went in first and did my exercises and then he joined me for awhile. It's beautiful out.. sun is shining and it's 72 degrees. Just perfect. We're leaving in a few minutes to head to dinner out with Kris and Nathan. Then home to relax before the busy day tomorrow. I went online and sent in our anniversary announcement to the paper for our 40th. Monday I have to go in and give them a check for $15 so they will submit it. I added a nice picture of Bob and I in Hawaii. Kris had our wedding picture, but decided to save that for our 50th. Off to meet the kids for dinner. Everyone have a good evening. BBL...

Good morning, Violets.. Glad to see someone was smart enough to start a new thread!! Lap band support group this morning and then Grady time while his mom goes to a Bridal shower. I hope to get in the pool after Grady leaves. Tomorrow I have a full day with just a couple of little breaks. It's Gospel Sunday in church.. last choir performance of the year, then a singing rehearsal from 1-4 and then an open house from 6-7:30 where I'll perform with our flute quartet. Maybe I can get in the pool after all of that. I know I'll be ready for some relaxation. Off to get some breakfast and get dressed for the day. Everyone make it a good one!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TERRY!!!

Woooo hooooo.. summer has almost arrived for the newest doctor in Palm Springs. :confused: I'm just in from an hour in the pool. Air temp is 70, pool temp is 86.. perfect!! The sun was shining and the Bobster joined me after I was done with all my exercises. We are going to watch Nathan play softball at 6 for a double header and then going out to dinner with Grady and his parents. Laura.. where are youuuuuuuuu??

A couple of new pics I just put on Facebook. The pics of Grady are of him in his Halloween outfit we found at a garage sale last week. It's a purple dragon. Kris's favorite color is purple and of course Grady was nicknamed "dragon" before he was born. The yorkie pic is Chippy giving his opinion on life in general.

Good morning, Violets.. Just finished my cottage cheese, blueberries and splenda. Yums.. I'm really stiff and sore today from the pool workouts yesterday. At least I know it's working!! I bought a new swimsuit a size smaller than last year and it fits!! wooo hooooo!! We're going to go visit my friend Kathy at the hospital today. She had hip replacement surgery on Wednesday. She also has a lap band and of course had it unfilled before the surgery. She says she notices a difference, but she really has no appetite in the hospital. She goes back for a refill in 2 weeks. We're going to make an appointment for a fill for the bobster in July. We haven't been to the doctor in almost a year. I'm fine where I am with my fills, but he needs another. We're going to go to the flower shop and get something to take to Kathy and order our anniversary flowers for the church altar. PamELa... does it seem possible that another year has gone by? I can't believe I've been retired for 5 years now! I'm seeing more and more of my former "Case Kids" on Facebook and that's a hoot. I'm going to recaulk the bathtub today, and then head to the pool. I have a little more to do in the backyard today too. Thank goodness the sun is shining. Off to get dressed for the day. Everyone be good to yourselves today! BBL

I've been surfing sites looking for lap band recipes to share with my support group on Saturday and found this. Thought some of you Violets might be interested... Diet Margarita 6 oz frozen limeade concentrate ( I use the Minute Maid in freezer section) 6 oz of diet lemon lime soda (I use diet Sierra Mist) 6 oz tequila 3 oz triple sec Ice to fill the blender I'm telling you...it's one of the best margaritas I've ever had! By the time you add the ice to the blender, the sugar in the limeade concentrate is negligbile. __________________

Good evening, Violets.. I had a great time in the pool. Only problem was, it was 90 degrees!! Time to crank the furnace down a notch. I stayed in for an hour and did all my aquarobics. I came in and fixed a really nice dinner..... pineapple glazed spare ribs, and a squash dish I make with squash, onions, garlic (lots), grape tomatoes, balsamic vinegar and brown sugar splenda. Everything smelled sooooooo good and I did the ribs in the pressure cooker so they cut like buttah with a fork. I enjoyed everything going down, but not so much when it all came up.... twice! Don't know what the problem was since the meat was very, very tender. The Bobster is stuck too, but he didn't PB. I'm the lucky one. We're off to K-Mart to pick up a couple of deck chairs that are on sale and then to Walmart to get two more hanging planters and some wave petunias. Tomorrow we'll get mulch and I'll start on that in the backyard flower beds. I also need to make the salad dressing and candied almonds for Kris for a salad she's taking to a wedding shower Saturday. Off to shop. BBL...

Good afternoon, Violets.. I've accomplished nothing so far today except a couple of loads of laundry. We just finished lunch and now I'm going to clean a little bit downstairs and then jump in the pool. If any of you are watching the news, there's a story about a plane that got diverted because of turbulent weather. Not that unusual to me, except it was the airbus from DETROIT to HUNTSVILLE!!! Yikes!! They diverted the flight to Memphis. Keep fingers crossed that the weather is good in two weeks! Off to get working and exercising.. BBL

Good morning, Violets.. It's a totally lazy day here today. No Ethan, no Grady, no meetings, no rehearsals. Unfortunately NO sun either!! I will go in the pool this afternoon sun or no, and will go biking this evening. The Bobster just has some church work to do today and then will join me outside to mow the lawn and get some mulch in. I have 3 petunias to plant yet and then am done with new flowers for the year. My babysitting is drastically changed. I won't have Ethan again until July. He is at Day Care this week and his mom is on vacation next week. The week after that is the Alabama trip and I won't get back home until July 1st. I'm going to miss him, but having a few days to myself is a treat. I won't have Grady at all since his Mom didn't go back to work. But I'll get visits with him here and there.. just not hours at a time. Dr. PamELa... wow!! A college prof.. hope it works out for you. If it's meant to be, it will be. You're a fantastic teacher no matter what the venue is. I'm PROUD of you!!! Michelle... schools around here are all out for the summer. Did you have snow days to make up? I'm off to get dressed for the day. I've been lazy this morning. Everyone have a great day. Send some sun this way if you think about it.

Good evening, Violets.. Well, I had very good intentions today, but they didn't pan out. I ate well, but didn't get my swimming or biking in today. We were at the hospital with our friend for a couple of hours this morning and then had errands to run. I made some soup for lunch and then we had to go to get some printer ink and a couple of cards. By the time we got home there was not time to jump in the pool and be ready for choir. So I left for choir a little early and got things ready for the final rehearsal. 11 of us from the choir went out to dinner afterwards and I didn't get home until 9. Our friend called and let us know his wife is doing well, but in a lot of pain from the surgery. We'll try to go see her tomorrow if she's feeling up to it. Haydee... so sorry to hear about your sister, but I'm relieved to hear she's not badly hurt. Tracy,... great going on the treadmill and the water weight loss!! Laura.. how did things go at work after lunch?? Heather.. hope you and Ayla are enjoying your bonding time. Suzie.. looks like you did well on your eating today too. I bought some fresh blueberries today and some cottage cheese and brown sugar Splenda. Guess what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow?? Terry.. have a relaxing time!! You deserve it.. PamELa.. how many more days with the kiddos? Schools here in Alpena were out Tuesday. The school I worked at in Mio was out the end 4th of June. I'm heading to bed. NOTHING on the agenda for tomorrow. I WILL be in the pool and WILL get on the trike for a ride. Everyone sleep well.
