Just got the call from the surgerons office. JUNE 1ST!!!!! I'm so excited, i can hardly take it! It would have been May 22nd but they have a 4 hour class that patient's must attend, and the next class is held on 5/30. They originally had me down to do the Roux-NY but I said, whoa! Wait ONE MINUTE, the sleeve is for me! I've done so much research on the sleeve and that is what I want. SO she called the insurance and had the codes changed. Simple as that. Whew! Now, I just play the waiting game. Pre-op appointment is on 5/24/12.
Sorry for rambling, I'm just soooo happy and excited !!!!!

I agree with everyone above. If your health is important to you, your best bet is to give it up.

Thanks for all the info TraceyC and others. You guys are a big help. That's great information and something that never crossed my mind, Tracey. I work for Sutter Gould Medical Foundation and a Sutter Health Affiliate will be performing my surgery, so I am blessed to be covered at 100%. But I will definately be calling and asking them those questions.
Have a good evening everyone.

Thanks for the info Ladies. It sounds like I'll be staying at my job up to a month after my surgery. Maybe I'll get lucky and be on leave the entire month (and never go back (to work)). I can't wait to be a stay at home Mommy (can you tell LOL).

I plan on quitting my job that is providing the insurance that covers my surgery, after my surgery of course. I was wondering if there is any follow-up appointments they require post op? Or do you just get the surgery and bam, they are done with ya?
If there are follow-up appointments , how soon did your surgeon want to see you back and did he/she want to see you more that once?
Best regards,
Veronica

Hello All,
Just a thought that ran through my mind today and has now taken over my though process. LOL.
I'm on month 2 of my physician supervised diet documentation (need total of 3 months) and have seen the dietician, & today I go see the Psych for my Psych evaluation. I was thinking when I go to my 3rd Doctors visit (to start my third month) that we can just submit the paperwork to the insurance, right then and there.
Has anyone else gotten away with 3 months of diet documentation with only doing two full months, but a total of 3 doctors visits? Make sense? =T
I'm so impatient and want my surgery date! (Can you tell?) LOL.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll do it, just incase. I don't want anything getting in the way of the approval. =)

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and so exited about this journey. Anywho, let me get to my question.
I have UMR/Sutter Select insurance and I am required to have a 3 month physician supervised diet. I am happily trucking along on my second month, but I am not sure if I should be keeping a daily log of what I consume on a daily basis. Anyone else with this insurance or experience know if this is required to be approved? If so, i have a month to catch up on. =/
Thank!
Just Got Approved! Any June Sleevers?
