  1. Hello, my name is Jeff. I had Lapband surgery on January 23, 2012. My surgeon is Adam Goldstein. After only one week, I have lost 9 lbs. I started this journey in June 2011. I weighed 320 lbs. I went on the New Beginnings program out of Virtua Hospital in Southern New Jersey. I started using a journal to document everything I ate. Using the journal was a godsend. It helped me lose 50 lbs by my surgery date. I now use an app from LoseIt.com to keep track of my food. So far, so good on being on a full liquid diet. I am managing my daily calories and protein requirements. I start the Pureed diet in two days. I can’t wait to try pureed chicken.
