Its July 4th! Happy Birthday.....America! and Happy Birthday JDI!! I hope you have a wonderfully blessed day today! I hit my secondary "Nicki's Birthday Goal" of 70 pounds...but just barely. LOL. Now for ten more for "Savannah's Birthday Goal". I hope you all have a wonderful, safe Independence Day. oh and Nicki: http://youtu.be/wFh-rX_Sfhs

Yay....a birthday goal instead of Back-to-school. I didn't want to think about back-to-school yet anyway! LOL. Okay..so my "Savannah's Birthday 7/26" goal to be at 80 pounds lost and officially down to a 16. Savannah: make sure your scales are on level ground...try a hard-wood floor vs. carpet. My scales are more accurate on my kitchen floor than on my living room carpet. Make sure you weigh at the same time of day. For instance, I weigh 1st thing in the morning, after a trip to tinkle. LOL. When you find a spot that is accurate...make sure to place the scales there each time you weigh. I have a spot worn on my bedroom floor, I think, from always putting mine in the same place. They are fairly accurate there. However, they do weigh me 1.5 pounds more than my doctor's scales. Good luck!

okay...if there's no one's birthday coming up after 7/4, how about a "back to school" goal. I know I would love to hear "Is that your mom????", upon returning my son to school in August. LOL! Oh and I'm THIS CLOSE (*pinches fingers together*) to reaching my secondary 7/4 goal of 70 lbs lost! This last fill/slight unfill (LOL) might have pushed me to the green zone. I've lost 5 pounds in the past week, I've rarely been hungry the past few days, and when I am, about 3/4 c. of food fills me up! Yay! I hope everyone had a GREAT weekend!

oh nicki...why mow? its not growing in this heat. Ours is crunching under our feet here in Middle TN. lol. I do have a little recipe I want to share with everyone. The most recent protein shake powder I bought is the the Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate. Its really good, though I do usually add a packet of splenda to mine. I've spent the weekend at my parents' house to sit with my grandmother while my parents are out of town. My mom and dad do a lot of "juicing" as my dad is diabetic. They try not to waste anything, so my mom bought popsicle molds and she freezes the left over fruit "mush" after the juicing and makes fresh popsicles for my dad. Well, I decided to make some "fudgesicles" out of my protein shake! LOL!! I used a cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, one scoop of the Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate powder and two packets of splenda. I mixed it in the blender and then poured into the molds. It actually froze fairly quickly. It was soooooo good! so each "fudgesicle" only has about 40 calories, maybe 1 or 2 grams of fat, and only about 1-2 carbs! I'm stopping to get popsicle molds on my way home!! LOL.

Happy Friday morning! I just realized from JDI's post that I wasn't on here at all yesterday. My morning, yesterday, started out with me making a trip back to my doctor's office to to get .4cc removed from my band. He had put in .7cc on Wednesday (taking me to 6.5 total in the band), and I was fine Wednesday afternoon. However, yesterday morning, I couldn't keep anything down. I know the band is tighter in the morning, but it usually loosens after about an hour, after exercise or drinking something hot. That didn't happen yesterday. I learned from Meredith's experience...not to wait about having it loosened. I knew he wouldn't be in today...and with next week being a holiday week, I wasn't taking any chances. The upside is that with three days of liquids, I've lost more weight, for a total of 67 pounds. Since I'm trying to hit 70 by JDI's 7/4 birthday goal, I think I might just stay on liquids for a few days. LOL! Ya'll have a great day! Stay cool and hydrated...its gonna be a scorcher today! In Nashville, we're supposed to hit 105 as well. so NC folks, I feel ya!

It has to be the Sears Outlet Stores page...not regular Sears stores...so first check that. The other thing is that you have to like/share their post they they make on Monday. Usually on Tuesday they will post the coupon to print. You must have both the coupon and your Shop Your Way Rewards card to get the free item. If you don't have the rewards card, they might take your phone number that you attached to the membership.

just got back from my check-up. Doctor's scales have me at 64 lbs. Mine have me at 65. That's the first time doc's scales have weighed me as more. Now...that being said, I did have on clothes at the doctors office...so let's just stick with the 65. LOL. Got .7cc which put me up to 6.5 in a 10cc band. Was fine with the water test in the office. However, now that I'm trying to eat some soup...I'm not so sure. I'm going to try to give it 24 hours and see if its a bit too tight. soup is going down and staying down. However, I fee like I need to burp after every bite. Taking it slow to try to avoid having a stuck episode.

    Hi - I'm New Here

I agree w/DeAna. 33 lbs in 3 months is awesome! You're doing great! God bless!

JDI...no, I just do it to make sure my stomach is as empty as possible in case he does do a fill. It also helps me to get "my head in the game" for 24 hours of liquids after a fill. LOL.

I'm still working on my secondar July 4th goal. I was going to shoot for a total of 75 pounds...but since that is still 10 lbs away...Maybe I'll try for just 70. think I can lose 5 in a week if I stay on liquids? LOL. My doctor's appointment yesterday got moved to tomorrow...but I didn't know it until I arrived at his office. ugh! oh well. c'est la vie. I lost a pound by being on liquids in preparation for the appointment. LOL!! Hope you all are having a great day!

Thank you Meredith...you are very kind. I enjoy singing and I especially love singing what God wants me to sing...Praise to Him always! When I hear that someone else is blessed by that...well...then what God wants is accomplished!

sound like everyone had a fairly good weekend! NJ2NC...congrats on the loss! I agree...vent! vent! vent! JDI...here's the link: Savannah...congrats on the "sweet spot" but be careful on those sticks. I had to make myself a list of things NOT to eat just to remind myself...because I had a bad stick on some pizza crust Friday night.

    Dilation Of Pouch

"productive burp"....burping up stuck food rather than vomiting.
  15. chrissylu

    Dilation Of Pouch

When talking about the slippage syptoms and "not being able to keep anything down"...does that mean it goes down okay but won't stay...one has to actually vomit...or does it mean one is always getting stuck and has to PB every time he/she eats?
  16. Congrats with the maintenance! And good luck with "the girls". I never thought of having any kind of plastic surgery...that is...until I had the band. I'm 5 months in and I'm 43 years old so you can imagine where the "girls" are "hanging out". LOL. I'm thinking of having a lift done but DH said if I went in for a lift, that I had to do something for him...add more to them! HA! I just had surgery to get some of this weight OFF my back. LOL. By the way, "Cherish"...did you ever have your band slip? If so, how do you know that's what it is?

ok peeps...wish me luck. I go in for a check-up/possible fill on Monday. However, to me, my port feels kinda weird. I hope its not starting to flip. Will have Dr. M check that too. The scale is fluctuating again. I'm trying to do mostly liquids and mushies over the weekend, and, prayerfully, that will shake things up a bit so that the doc's scale isn't so bad. Having a lazy day, sitting with my grandma today...but have to go to the grocery store. Hope my parents return before it gets too late to go tonight. DH is working this evening. Oh...and I'm singing a solo at church tomorrow. This isn't my regular church...but one I used to go to several years ago. I've never sung a solo there before. I'm also hoping that getting some of this fat away from my vocal chords and lungs will help my voice. Is that possible? Does anyone know? lol.

Wow! You ladies have been busy this morning!! I love it! And I'm so glad to see some names/faces I haven't seen in a while. Glad everyone is doing so well! Kymie...I might have to try your exercise regimen. Even though I've been in Onederland for a week, I'm going back and forth on a couple of pounds again. Ugh! I hate that part of it. I've really been watching what I eat too, getting in more than enough water and exercising! I will say though that the size 18 pants I got a few weeks ago (part of my $2.78 outfit I posted), are now a little loose. I'm so close to a 16 I can taste it (pardon the pun)! I'm so proud of everyone of us. We are working hard and it shows!

NJ2NC...great NSV w/the dress! That's awesome! JDI...I met your birthday goal already. Mine was to hit Onederland by July 4th. YAY! So, I'm setting a new goal of reaching 70-75 lbs lost by 7/4. I'm at 64 now so...either another 6 or another 11 in 2 weeks. I think the 6 is more attainable but...away we go!
  21. chrissylu

woo hoo, 18 years later the dress fits again!

    Way to go HD!!

91 pounds ago these pants were TIGHT!

NJ2NC....what a great NSV! I know its easy to get discouraged...I get there at least once a week myself. But we just take it one day at a time. Have you tried upping your cardio while maintaining your strength/weight training?

I Think I'm Addicted To My Protein Shake

Do you have a "Vitamin Shoppe" near you? I think I saw those in multi-packs at the one close to me (Nashville)...but I don't remember how much they were. You could also ask your local pharmacy how much it would cost for them to order in large quantities for you..??

So Much Water I'm Floating Away

You can use decaffeinated tea w/splenda or truvia. Though I usually just get regular, unsweetened and add one of the two sweeteners I mentioned. I use sugar-free Hawaiian Punch singles in my water. They are so sweet, I can't tell they're not sugared. Look at your labels though, if you're watching carbs, because even though they are low, some of the flavors have 1-2 carbs per serving. Each "single" is actually TWO servings when you look at the nutrional label...so double everything. I never drink soda anymore and rarely drink tea. I do feel bloated sometimes too. I think its because I just haven't given myself enough time for the water to "go through" OR I drank it too fast. Good luck and God bless!
