  1. Great idea to post these Mis! Great job everyone!! These posts will be so encouraging to those thinking about it, those who have just had surgery and those stuck in a plateau and hopefully to those who've given up! I'm 6 weeks post op and am so glad I had the surgery and can't wait to see what life brings! Here are a few of mine:

With you post Mis it just dawned on me why my driving felt weird yesterday and I keep killing my car!! I need to move my seat up!! WooHoo!! lol

    Down 2 pants sizes!

Wearing clothes I haven't worn in probably 3-4 years!

Rarely feel hungry and feel satisfied on a small amount!

    No more heartburn!

Already easier to put my shoes and socks on!

Feeling great and so glad I'm on this journey!!

  2. Judy I just realized that post was yours! Hi! How's it going? I just had my first fill this past Wednesday, it was a breeze! I was on liquids for 24 hrs then had my 3oz and I was satisfied for probably about 5-6 hrs, course I was busy at work so that helped too! The doctor put 3cc's in my band.

  3. Hi All! For those who had their first fill and don't feel restriction I've read that it can take up to 4 weeks to feel restriction....so don't get discouraged.

I had my first fill Wednesday and it was a breeze! So those who haven't had one yet don't stress over it. My doctor put 3cc's in; liquids for 24 hours and then when I had my 3 oz I felt totally satisfied at lunch and dinner.< /p>

I asked about not getting enough calories and they told me not to worry about the calories just get all my Protein in daily. I've found that if I double the scoops of Protein Powder it helps in getting enough protein and boosts the calories too.

  4. You guys reminded me of a couple others!

Be able to sit in a plastic lawn chair and pray that it won't break on me!! lol

Want to be rid of the word "obese"....hate that word!!

Not ever hearing the word "but" after someone says I'm pretty....although I don't expect that so much anymore since I'm 60 now! lol

Be able to go up stairs or a hill and not be ready for CPR! lol

  5. The list we need to print out and look at each time hunger or the wrong foods are calling our name! Here's a few of mine:

I want my kids/grandkids to know me as thinner.

I want to be healthy, and not get diabetes like my mom and younger sister.

    feel better about myself.

I no longer want to miss out on things because I'm embarrassed by my weight.

    buy regular size clothes again.

    cross my legs, comfortably.

wear shorter sleaves, capris, or shorts again, maybe even a swimsuit.

wear something other than blue, black or brown pants.

have energy again and do things I've put off for a while now.

    and the list goes on.......

  6. Meemee I get the same thing only a couple of times though. It makes me think I either didn't chew enough or take small enough bites. I really don't feel too much restriction yet, my first fill is on Wednesday, looking forward to it!! I've been at the same weight for about 2 weeks now, since starting mushies. Kind of discouraging but I'm hoping the fill will make a difference. I'm even wondering about that now as I've seen some say they didn't feel any restriction after the first fill. I hope I do! Especially since my doctor is an hour and a half away.

  7. I was liquids 2 wk prior to surgery and now almost at the end of 4 weeks post op, so ready for the mushies! Protein Shakes so you get enough Protein, that's so important so you don't get hungry. I got chicken broth from Unjury.com mixes great and I think it tastes yummy, 1 scoop in 8 oz hot Water is 21gr of protein. Atkins ready to drink is pretty good and each one is 15 gr of protein. My doctor said in that stage be sure to get 80-100 gr of protein. good luck!

  8. I agree, you'll be tired and sore and be working on getting all your liquids in and right. I had an incision on my waist line and it really hurt to wear my work slacks so I took a couple of days extra to let it heal. My surgery was 3/22 and I'm still having to wear bandaids over it to be able to wear my pants. Give yourself time to heal a bit. Good luck to you!
