Excited is a great description for this topic, as it is both scary and exhilirating to know Im going to have a surgery that is pretty much going to take care of my worst problem. All of you are, Im just waiting on my tax return, my passport, and my return ticket to San Diego!

Me, I would just get the surgery, everyone else can deal with it. I find that if I just get out of the way, things go better anyway. You just gotta believe that things happen for a reason. I put off a surgery once, and it was nightmare after nightmare after that to get it done, and I really felt that when I did put it off, that I was off! God Bless

Hi there, I was intrigued about your progress, as I was once a merchant marine myself, Whew! Thats over. but along the lines of your protein thing...I would take a tiny food processor with me on the ship, slip in your pocket size, and when you can, process any lean meets at meals as a spread for dry toast. Lots of protein and healty and taste great. Kellogs makes protein Water, a little pricey, but beats loosing your hair. They come in 6 packs, and could be good in a pinch. You can get tempeh shrink wrapped and flavored in chinese food stores and some at the fresh food area of the grocery stores, and it has a mazillion times more protein than any meat. I like it.
