  1. my cousin going through same thing, her insurance denied her because of low BMI 31 but she is 6'5 and close to 280. She has cysts on ovaries and takes phen-something for weight which she has been on for over two years. limit is 6 months. her hormones metabolize to where it treats what ever she eats into sugar which resembles diabetes and the insurance won't give her or dr. their guidelines. I told her to appeal and to go back to regular doctors with medical f/u , any other doctor she visited to get weights. With my doctor the more back up information I gave him, he turned it all in with his recommendation to get my lapband done.

Appeal I say! These days we have to be our own health advocates and the insurance doesn't know us. target.gif

    Good luck

  2. couldnt you take short mini walks at work, I know I do, I walk things out to offices that are in our complex, on my break I take a 15 minute brisk walk, timed myself so I knew how far out to walk so I could come back in time. every little bit helps. I think if you work after being so tired you really arent helping yourself, cuz you will be tired for the following day. Good luck.. teeth_smile.gif

  3. look online for free weight tickers, most everone uses the tickerfactory.com I think. once you have made it , you go to settings on this page and paste and copy code and it will show up everytim you post something. Don't forget to bookmart your ticker so you can make changes..

  4. That is something I think about, the erosion, and causes. I know we are limited but for it to wear out like that. I think if it happened to me, I would not put a new one in for awhile. my weight loss has been swift and before I had lapband done, (6 days ago). The surgery you mention must really be new if insurances aren;t covering, but I always have assumed if its for health reasons and your doctor would vouch for you, they would cover.

I wish you well on your decision , keep us updated!

    Bert

  5. 16 oz of Soup? I too drink my 8 oz Protein Shake and could probably go without lunch, but have some broth soup about 4-6 oz, I sip on Water all day, so by lunch I', ready for another 4-6 ozs of soup. It is really on what each person can handle physically. What's good for you may not work for some else. And as long as you are losing weight, and losing enough to your satisfaction there shouldn't be a problem. I have to keep remembering this is LONGTERM. I might lose the weight in a few months, but I will have to do LONGTERM maintenance to keep it off. Good luck!fruitsex.gif

  6. I was told two versions, , that any meds I take had to be liquid now, no more ibprofen only tylenol.

I could continue to take capsules ok, tablets break in half or crush, if heartburn to take antacid. I haven't been having any problems, as all but one of my pills would be considered big. I do take them early in day so they are in my body sooner. good luck.

and hoepfully by the end of a few months we wont need anymore meds yeah!!!
