I had plication done Feb. 3 and today I have lost 13 pounds. I am feeling pretty good after 5 days of diareaha.Immodium was very helpful!I still do not feel any physical hunger so staying on a liquid diet is working well for me. I discovered 3 new Soups this week-v8 makes a brocolli Soup and a potato Soup. A local grocery store, HEB, has a great tortilla soup. Alos, when i go to a restaurant and ask for soup with mostly broth, the waitresses have been very obliging.
I hope all of you are doing well. I start back to work on Monday. I am taking Calcium and Vitamins daily and drinking at least 48 oz of Fluid.
I hope the worst is behind me and great weight loss is ahead!

My surgeon suggested plication surgery. His patients are having very good results with it. Also, with plication you won't have the future Vitamin deficiencies that you get with bypass surgery. Like the lapband, it is fully reversible.
I am feeling almost normal now. The first seven days were the toughest.
Today is exactly 2 weeks since my surgery and I've lost 19 pounds, so far.

I have to share my excitment! I was banded in July at True Results in Houston. I've had 4 fills now. The first 3 fills I was only given .5 cc. I was under the impression that that's all they would do at True Results, so imagine my surpise yesterday... The nurse asked me how my hunger level was in between meals... I told her a 6 (out of 10).. so she gave me a 1 full cc! I'm now at 7.2 cc. Feeling the restriction now .. hoping it stays like this!! Much love and happiness to all

Thank you for all of the input! I have 2 friends that have both been enormously successful with the lap band and that has inspired me to do this for myself. I do realize that there is work ahead of me. Does anyone else have shoulder pain?? I cannot find any research about that side effect. Thanks!

I am getting a Realize band on Feb. 3. I am doing well with the pre surgery diet. I have lost 5 pounds in 3 days by drinking slim fast for Breakfast and lunch and a lean cuisine for dinner. What advice do you have for me and what do you wish you knew before you had surgery?? Thank you!
