We need A LOT more details:
    -when did you have surgery?
-how much is in your band?
-what size band do you have?
-did they do a barium swallow?

I never attacked anyone. You came onto this thread spreading complete scare tactic BS. What's worse, you clearly don't understand what you're reading at all. I came on here to offer the OP advice and try to help- which is a heck of a lot more than you did.

I'm no doctor, but it seems to me like the problem is you're expecting the band to do things it's not supposed to do. It's not supposed to physically stop you from eating nor is it going to force you to make good food choices.
Please read this link for a much better understanding of the band and realistic expectations of it: http://drsimpson.net/fills/Lap-band-eating/lap-band-not-restriction/lap-band-and-restriction.html

Once again, you're citing incomplete studies that don't take patient compliance into consideration. You can't fault the band for patient error and carelessness.
The fact is, as stated in the study I posted, when the patient does what they're supposed to do there is only a 5% failure rate.

Actually, that study is incomplete because it doesn't take patient failure/non-compliance into consideration.
When a patient is compliant with their surgeon and the band rules, the band is just as effective as other WLS and failure rate is only 5%. http://www.futurity.org/weight-stays-off-long-after-lap-band-surgery/

i don't know where to start. the first question is, when did you have surgery? the second question is did your doctor give you medication for nausea? third question is? have you had any fills? the 4th question is, has any xrays been done to determine if your lapband is placed correctly? have you had a upper gi or a endoscopy? i need more info to be able to give you my opinion. and that is the first thing to be learned here is our responses are opinions your doctor should be your number one advice giver. but i take a lot from this site to my doctor to ask about things. give us a little more to go on. because we love to give our opinions. we want to be helpful.

Thanks girls! I'm in total agreement. Saggy skin or not I'll feel like a new person health wise.

You might have a lot of sagging skin. Whether or not you have sagging excess skin depends on how much weight you have to lose and how long you've carried it, your age, whether or not you smoke, and genetics.
I will tell you this- I have a lot of excess skin. But, I look SO MUCH better now than when I weighed over 400 pounds. I can hide the excess skin easily with clothes but there is no hiding over 230 pounds of excess fat. I'll take the excess skin over the excess fat any day.

I agree with Mis. I know, with the amount of weight I have to lose that loose skin is inevitable. I figure that Spanx and flattering clothes will help a lot and in the end, I would sure as h*ll rather deal with some excess skin than the excess fat and the health problems that comes with it.

You need to call your doctor. You're likely too tight and need to be evaluated by your bariatric surgeon.

I am at Disney for the weekend. Was a lot easier to get in and out of rides! Last time I went, i was struggling! But not today! (Lol). I also I didnt have to worry about not fitting. Loving the band and I'm so grateful for this weight loss - has made a big difference even after 3 months (almost 40 pounds lost)!

The collarbone thing is a biggy! So are the ribs!!
I am actually in love with my collar bone, in fact my daughter has even commented that I should wear shirts that show off my shoulder and collar bone more often because it looks really good.
The rib thing is kinda funny. Between your ribs, in the center of your rib cage, there is a connective area called the xiphoid process. I actually went to my doctor in a panic because I had this "big weird bump" on my chest in the middle of my rib cage. He actually laughed at me and goes "ummm, that's you, not a tumor. I'm guessing you've just never been small enough to feel or see it before"
So...yeah..I freaked out over my own rib cage

I had a funny NSV over the holiday.
I was with my brother and nephew when my nephew's mom (my brother's ex) came to pick my nephew up. She was totally skunk eyeing me something wicked. She wouldn't even respond to my attempts at small talk. I was thinking "wow, she hates me!". Still, I just tried to ignore her and loved on my nephew.
When it was time for them to leave, my brother walked them out. When he came back, he was laughing. Apparently, she had no idea who I was and assumed I was my brother's new girlfriend! LMAO! She asked him who I was (curse words included) and he laughed "ummm, you mean my sister?" He said her jaw literally dropped and she goes "no way! but she's so little now! It doesn't look like her at all!" My brother told her I'd lost over 200 pounds so it's no wonder she didn't recognize me. I guess she then felt bad for being such a b#tch to me.
    I laughed so hard!!

I know there's been a zillion threads on this, but what's one more right?
I am seeing A LOT of people so hung up on the scale that they're missing the Non scale Victories (yes that's what NSV means).
So, please list your NSVs here! It doesn't matter how big or how small, we want to hear it!
Mine are (in no particular order):

The ability to sit in any chair I want without worrying if I'll fit or break it
The ability to sit in booths at restaurants
Flying without needing a seat belt extender
No longer wearing plus sized clothes
Trying on a size 'large' shirt and finding it's too big- and buying a size 'medium'
Walking by mirrors while shopping and thinking "wow I look cute" instead of "ugh gross"
Being very active in my kids' lives
Going from needing a cane to get around the house to walking 2 miles a day unaided
No longer having high blood pressure or high blood sugar.
No longer having a sleep apnea (or even snoring anymore)
Not being recognized by people who haven't seen me since getting my band (literally)
Being able to wear cute, stylish clothes (I've become a shopping addict!)
    Sitting with my legs crossed
Being told I look more like my almost 19yr old daughter's sister rather than her mother
