ANewMe!

<p>Well I'm 24 as of January 6, 2012&nbsp;(one day after my surgery)! My story... well I've always been the bigger girl. I'm 5'2' and my starting weight before my lap band was 196. I recently got married to my high school sweetheart June 18, 2011. I hit rock bottom with my weight around november 2011 when I saw the scale hit the 200 marker. I've always been disgusted with my weight especially since I'm bigger than my husband. I've been bigger than my husband since after the first year of us dating. I've always been the bigger girl out of my family (cousins, a couple of my aunts, etc) and friends. I can't remember the last time I was in a size 12 or lower. I've been in my 14 size jeans for a while and really I should probably be in a size 16 because the 14 are a little too tight. I got the lap band because I want to feel good about myself, be smaller than my husband, like to shop for clothes, and just be skinny for once in my life! My Aunt also encouraged me. She got the lap band 3 yrs ago. She loves it! She was around 250+lbs and she has maintained at 125 for atleast a year (that I know of). She looks great, and her self esteem has went up. She is also off 5 pillls which she had to be on for various reasons like blood pressure, etc.</p>

<p>Anyways I hope to have a sucessful story like her one day, and I found this website because I want to communicate with other lap band people.</p>
