just realized you meant the old stomach bug from January! Yes, I had an unfill. Then some fill put back in and then within a few weeks started having issues...so yes, it may have been!

I never had the flu, I was not sick. I would get a weird tickle in my throat if I ate or drank anything and when I would lay down it was horrible. It did not matter if I just ate o if it had been hours, every thing came back up. And I did liquids for a few days thinking I just irrated myself some how. But it was a slipped band that was causing the issue.
I did not have plication. I have decided not to do any WLS. I am about 40lbs from goal, so I am just going to keep on going with the diet and exercise. The whole surgery again thing is what I am dreading! And the last minute of it...juggling kids and hubbys duty schedule while 4500 miles away from family to help! Luckily the military families here in Alaska are like family and are so willing to help!

I just told my doctor that I wanted to have lap band and need the referral to the surgeon. Remember the doctor works for YOU. They don't get to make your health care decisions, you do. If your doctor does not agree with the surgery, I would listen to their reasons, if they are valid, think about them. But if it things you already researched and understand, then ask for the referral regardless of the doctors feelings about the band. And if all else fails, change PCPs

I am getting excited about monday! I have been reading and reading everyone's posts. I almost called off the surgery. I was going back and forth with myself. My skinny husband said he would support anything I decide. I went back to my pro/cons list. I am now 100% feeling great! And monday can't get here fast enough!
I was only going to tell my husband, parents, and one friend (who is watching my small children while i am at the hospital). But I decided to tell everyone! i am so surprised all the positive things I have heard!
I finally told my daughters yesterday. They are only 3 & 5. But I explained I was having surgery on my belly and that daddy would be the one to help them for a few days while I recovered. I never told them what the surgery is for. But I asked if they had any questions...only question I got was from my 5 y/o..."will you still be able to dance the black eyed peas experience with us?" The things that are important to them! I said of course! After I heal! She was ok with that
Good luck to everyone and thank you to all that have been writing their stories. I have enjoyed reading them.
