Hi! I am originally from NH...im in MA currently. Its nice to see someone close! Good luck on your surgery. Mine is only in 3 days and its starting to hit home that this is so close and real..not second guessing myself but its definitly making me a little nervous.

Me either. My surgery is next week and the smallest i remember being as an adult was 200 lbs and i was 18. Smallest size i have bought was a 16...so its kind of scary and also exciting to think that i will be able to shop at normal stores and dress trendy instead of like a fat girl hiding behind her clothes!!! I have always been big but it was until i hit puberty that i got really big. Good luck on your transformation.

lucky about the no preop diet. Im on day 8 of my preop and id kill for a salad lol

Tell me about it!! I will admit i have cheated a few times but i have been good the past 4 days and started on 8/22. 7 days to go!!!

Mine consists of two weeks of liquid diet. I had to buy the Protein that they wanted us to use (its actually not bad) its called HMR 800 and i can turn them into pudding and stuff and add flavorings so its not that bad...yet (only on day 2).

I bought them right at my dr's office but if you look online you can find the website and the places you can order from online or at locations. I tried seeing if i could find them cheaper online and i couldnt..they were actually more expensive (go figure). I had to buy 4 boxes at 33.99 a piece..but i figure if thats all im eating for the next two weeks i probably would have spent more on trips to supermarket/take out.

i was looking at these as it was suggested by my NUT (the zero carb ones) for the first two weeks after if i didnt want to do choc/vanilla protein drinks. I'll have to go buy a couple flavors to check it out as they do have alot of protein in the bottle.

So i start my liquid diet today. My surgeon has me on HMR 800 shakes (comes in vanilla and chocolate) at 5 a day but they want me to have 1 shake at one meal and 2 shakes at the other meals. I made 2 packets of the chocolate this morning in the blender with ice and it comes out super creamy and looks like a milkshake. I was kind of scared of not liking this Protein drink but so far so good the choolate is really good, no weird after taste and its not super sweet. Now i just have to try the vanilla (i brought that for lunch) and they gave me a bunch of recipes to give variety. If the vanilla tastes as good as the chocolate then i dont see why i will have a problem sticking to the two week liquid diet. I Start my liquid diet tomorrow...2 weeks and then i have surgery. This has been a crazy 7 months and it went by so fast!! Now i just need to make it through the next two weeks

Mine starts on Wednesday and I'm doing 5 HMR 800 shakes a day for two weeks

They are a no no on my plan too. They recommend the Bariatric fusion vitamins since it has everything you need and do not need to take multiples. I haven't tried them yet as I'm still pre op

Yay!! I just found out that my Sept 5th surgery is approved!! Now all i need to do is start my liquid diet next Wednesday. Its getting very real ...

I was told by my surgeon that as long as i feel comfortable to go for it. He said a week or two...i kind of scared because i have to go off BC two weeks before and then three weeks after i can start it again.

Well I'm sorry but there's shorthand then there is the lack of knowledge of which version of a word to use. Some and sum...weight and wait....etc. I normally keep my mouth shut and I am not condoning the way the guys reacted but there is no need to hate on them. ::: steps off box ::::

My date is coming up as well and its really just starting to hit me. Its entirely normal to be feeling the way you do as its HUGE change and something we will need to live with for the rest of our lives. I am sure this was not a decision that you came to lightly and that you have researched researched and researched. I keep thinking about the things i will be able to do that i haven't been able to do or things i cant wait to wear. Its hard work but we can do this!! Good luck!

yay! Congrats...i am having my surgery the day after. Its crazing thinking i have to start my two week liquid diet next week and im 3 weeks away!!

Yes. I had a surgery date given to me 2nd week in july and they just submitted to insurance on my last appt on 8/9.
