Does anyone notice that people treat them better since you've lost a big chunk of weight?? Specifically men hold doors for me, randomly start up conversations, let me cut in front of them etc. haha I mean I am not small (size 14) but its like night and day.

I was having the same issue. I bought fiber gummies and you take two a day. It took about a week but i go every day now!!! They were a huge help i recommend you try them Oh and sometimes i forfeit the protein in favor of veggies to help...were far enough out where we can eat more so u can always sub in a protein shake as a snack if you feel you need more protein or jerky etc. Its too much protein that will bind you up

My hair loss was from month 2 to 5...and its now a normal loss where i find a few hairs in the shower and on my hair brush etc. It SUCKED though for two of the 3 months and it was very depressing lol Now i have a ton of little hairs growing in and i think overall i lost about 1/3 of my hair but it was only noticeable to myself so once i got used to the hair loss it wasn't bad. Hang in there it DOES get better! Also as far as calories go i eat 1000 to 1200 a day. Some days it might be on the higher end and some i might not make 1000. I see my NUT and Dr for my 6 month follow up this Wednesday so ill find out what she says.

See i find things like chips and popcorn i could eat a ton of. I ate almost a whole bag of popcorn before i realized i cant have that in the house anymore lol when we chew it down its almost to nothing so i find those things i can eat a ton more of compared to meat and veggies etc So needless to say i try to stay away from that stuff.
  9. I had him and the surgery went great. Good luck
  10. They had me taking my migraine pills on day two in the hospital and after the first month i switched to pill vitamins because the chewable bariatric ones are gross. I take chewy calcium, fiber and the rest are pills. I was told that as long as i can swallow them there is no problem.

I take the bariatric fusion vitamins and i hit my protein everyday...my NUT told me everyone will see type of hair loss no matter what just some notice it more. She said it lasts until about nine months out and if you didnt have any then you prob wont. I have tons of little hairs growing back its annoying but ill deal.

I started at two months out (sleeved 9/5) and its just now slowing down..thsnk goodnesd. Its freaky at first but no one notices but you. I got used to it but it took a fee weeks before it wasnt depressing. Good luck.
  15. I had surgery last September and picked Dr. Brams and i didn't find him to have horrible bedside manner. When i met him I had only lost 10 lbs and he said he wanted another 15 by the surgery date. The thing is they make you do a two week liquid diet before and you will lose most of the rest of the weight then but they dont weight you at all to even know if you lost the weight he wanted you to lose (i ended up losing 14 of the 15 he wanted). On the day of the surgery he met with me a few times while i was being prep'd and he was polite and direct which I like. I didn't make excuses with him as i just wanted to know the facts which is what i got. The surgery went great as hes a great surgeon. You will only meet him that one time, the day of surgery and the day after when he follows up with you. The after appts you meet with Pam and the NUT and after the first week you meet with his fellow who sits in on the surgery (Lahey is a huge teaching hospital). My experience with Lahey was great so I hope you dont let your meeting with him deter you! Good luck!

Could always use magnesium citrate...lol that will clear you up ASAP...just have a bathroom handy for a day..so id recommend doing it on the weekend. Ive been constipated too and i did half a bottle and it made me go...not horror stories like you can see...im sure that would have happened if i did the whole thing. Only 2.70 at cvs..i did cherry..its very sweet tho. ***disclaimer***I would only use this as a last resort and i am in no way saying to use this all the time...so no one get snippy at me lol

Four months and a few days. I never really lost hair before this so i pull hair out in the shower and when i dry it and of course throughout the day its on my clothes. I might chop my hair again to my shoulders. Shorter it is the less the hair clumps will look lol

I have been eating raw veggies for two months. I havent found any that dont agree. I am also in a stall..going on 3 weeks and it sucks. My issue is i need to work out...anyone have spare motivation? Lol As for hair its been dropping since 8 weeks out...i think its slowing down though. It was slightly depressing at first pulling clumps out in the shower and drying my hair..but oh well. I wont go bald but i do miss my hair being fuller. I have a bunch of little wisps too its pissing me off but atleast my new hair is growing back fast. My goal for my 6 month appts is to b under 200 so 18lbs in two months is hopefully doable but overall im super happy with myself even if im a slow loser (only 40 since surgery)

I have the same plus my gallbladder ones but you dont see those anymore
  24. I am almost 4 months out (sleeved 9/5) and I havnet had any issues eating food since surgery. My meal consisted of Ham (about 3 oz), few carrots and roasted beets, tried brussel sprouts for the first time (one..very good by the way), bite of potato gratin, bite of sweet potatoes and a few bites of a roll and i was stuffed. I had also had a few appetizers such as cheese and crackers and salami. I am happy just eating a bite or two of what is served but i try to focus on the protein first. Overall very happy about my first X-mas dinner post surgery.
