What Do I Do With All These Feelings?!

You are actually facing an issue you have had and taking it head on!!! Congrats to you for making such a brave decision. That tells me that no matter what others think (even a nasty ex-boyfriend, who thankfully for you is an ex!) that you are a strong woman. Now you need to own that! Do not take what others have said to you that have been painful to heart...you need to look at their negative, mean personalities and a problem they have not you! We can only own what we create ourselves! I know that I am in no way responsible for others, just my own behavior. So it seems to me that you are taking charge of your life! Although you may have feelings of guilt please know that you have made a great decision for you, not for anyone else this is for you! Be happy for you, you are obviously a strong person, you just might not know it yet! Hold your head high and know you are very brave and the right person for you. You come first! Do not let others dictate who you are or who you want to be!

    Stuck?

I haven;t had any problem with chicken as long as it is moist. I know I don't want to get stuck and people say that chicken can sometime present a problem, but I did try it and so far as long as I chew, chew, chew til it's mush I don't have a problem. Good luck!
  6. People are more than happy to help you through the system. Just ask!
  7. Cleaned out my closet and got rid of all the bigger sizes! Down 2 sizes! Donating to the church because they give them away for free, the salvation army charges people too much! It was the happiest donation I have made so far!

  8. I think the secret is to not do the same thing all the time. Switch up the food types and amounts and vary exercise program. Our bodies get used to what they expect to happen. Switch it up and hopefully that will put you into another gear!

    What Was Your Turning Point?

My turning point was when I was unable to do things with my kids. It has gone on for years and I wish I had done it sooner. I feel like I missed a lot of what I would have done with them. I am glad I finally got to the point where how I was living my life was probably going to literally kill me and when My Grandchildren are born I'd like to be here to meet them! That was the day I realized I wanted to be around longer and enjoy doing more with my kids.

    Humiliated At Work Today! Omg!!!!!

I hate to say it but no matter who the people you tell are, most people find it too much to keep a secret for too long. I am guilty of telling things I know but shouldn't talk about, I hate it I don't do it with malice, I just want to share and I feel horrible when I have kept a secret. So I guess it's not right to put people in that position....I have learned my lesson. I am not bitter it's just what I have found! I would say deny it if you want and be completely comfortable with that. It is no one elses business and is true of most situations in life!

    January Surgery Bandsters Group

@ Erink58- I know exactly what you mean! I was banded on the 19th of Jan. and am in the same place as you. It is starting to feel like I can eat whatever. I do not feel any restriction so it makes it hard to remember it's even there. I have been doing pretty good though. I am happy with my weight loss of 20 pounds since surgery, but feel like I may be headed in the same direction. My first fill is Feb. 2nd Wishing you well! Hang in there It helps so much to know that other people are in the same place as you are in this journey!

    Snap Crackle And Pop!

It is hard to remember not to fall into old habits or what may actually still be our habits. They are the ones we are trying to overcome. It isn't easy to think before you eat and think when you eat so that you can learn a new method of eating. It's O.K. move onward!

    String ???wth

I was banded on 1/19/2012 and I have the same thing going on, but not really worried about it I think it will dissolve. They usually use stitches that dissolve. My first fill appointment was last week but the dr. had to cancel and I can't do it this week so I think that as long as it doesn't look infected I think I'll wait til then and talk to the dr. about it. If you are concerned call you dr. office.

Paranoia, Party Of One? Your Table Is Ready

I totally get what they mean now by bandster hell....I'm there! It is a emotional roller coaster and I think the little voices in our heads help us reason things out...maybe! I can see that commercial where there is an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other....banting back and forth who's gonna win! I'm rooting for the angel, cause I'm not losing this battle! lol I like the post allison0927 has up...works for me too!
