1. Hi all,

Update from me too - nearly a year - 26 April is my bandday - and 35 kgs gone forever. Fantastic - I am so stoked. I don't think I really believed that it would work, but there is no denying it now. Size 16 jeans WOOHOO!!

My ticker (if it is still there) is wrong but i cant remember how to update it.

    Cheers

  2. I am on day 13 and last night just could not do liquids for dinner when the family were have roast chick so I mashed up veges and a little soft meat (cut up fine) with gravy. It was fantastic, but what I wonder about is that I didnt feel any restriction or have any problem swallowing it. I didnt feel full or bloated after like i expected to. I wasnt hungry to start and havent felt hungry since the op. How much should I have eaten? I had around 3/4 of a cup.

  5. Hi 26thers,
The big day is fast approaching, only one more sleep. I am amazed at how far away it seemed in the beginning and how quickly the time has passed, even the last 14 liquidy days.
Because I am at the bottom of the world I will be first up, cant wait. Will be thinking of you all and looking forward to being on the other side and hearing lots of super successful surgery stories.

    Hugs

  6. I start mine on Monday too. Of course I'm worried, but I am not going to cheat. I trust my surgeon and what he tells me...if I have to do this to shrink my liver...then that's what I'll do. I look at it this way...it's two weeks out of my life...I think that I can make that sacrafice. It will totally be worth it in the end.

I started the preop diet yesterday, 3 sachets of Dr McLeods per day made into a shake or Soup, which i presume is similar to Optifast. I am so desperate to not be fat anymore and for this to work, that I will do whatever I have to do. Only 12 more days to go and DH is doing all the cooking and washing up - so its not all bad.
