  1. Very well said and feel the same way. I don't regret having the surgery either and feel so much better. I haven't really started exercising either and need to start. I have lost 40 pounds in 3 months and have more energy. Keep up the good work.

    By Myself For Recovery

My husband was with me for the day of surgery and then had to go back to work the next day. I got him back with me on the Friday before I was discharged. I was home for 2 weeks for work and was fine on my own. I was very sore, but I was able to get through that. The pain for me was when I was getting up. So, It was tolerable.

2 Weeks Out And Not Loosing

I lost 7 on the pre op diet and lost alot the first 2 weeks and then hit a stall right before the third week started. I was irritated greatly by this and thought that I wouldn't lose any more weight. I was in a stall for a week and a half. I started losing again after that. You will hit stalls and then start losing again. THere is no need to fret, just get protein in and drink your fluids. I am nine weeks out and have lost 35 pounds. Don't worry and everything will be fine.

    Time Off From Work

I was out from work for only 2 weeks. I am a case manager and travel to see clients, so my work isn't too bad.
  8. So...yesterday was quite interesting. I have been pretty good about cravings but yesterday it wass bad. It's like my brain had mind of it's own. I went to my neighbors spa party and she had cupcakes, chips and dip, and cookies. I so desperately wanted the sweets, but I stayed away. I did have 2 chips and a teeny amount of dip. I ate the chips and didn't have much of the dip. I think that started the big time cravings. I came home and had a veggie burger with cheese and later I had another piece of cheese. I woke up this morning a pound up. I will be staying away from chips from now on. I know I didn't mess things up too much, but I just don't like gaining weight.

    Seeking Buddies 5'2" & Under

Hey I am 4 weeks post op and have lost 24 pounds. I am 5'1".
  10. That is so awesome! I can't wait to get there myself. You look really good.
  11. I agree! When I stood up for the first time I was expecting lots of pain. When I finally stood I was like, Whoa, a c-section hurts worse than this. Yes, I still had some pain but it was manageable.
  12. I got the whey protein Nectar that was called Fuzzy Navel that I started taking pre op. It made me break out and I was itchy. I was worried that I had an allergy to the whey protein. The Dr. said that I should try a different type. He didn't think I was allergic to the whey. I tried the kiwi strawberry and then had the chocolate truffle without any problems. It was just the type I seemed to be allergic to. You might want to talk to the dr and see what he says. Good luck.

    Eggs

I had eggs for my first semi solid food and it was awesome. The only thing is I just had one egg and nothing more. I m quite full now and don't want anything else. Will this change? I'm just worried about getting enough Protein daily. Also, why is it that we need to separate drinking liquids? I was kinda thirsty.
  14. Hey everyone, I am close to four weeks post op and have started my stage 3 diet of soft foods. It's going pretty well so far. I have lost 22 pounds and am quite happy. I could only eat one egg and nothing else this morning. I had some chicken with cheese and sour cream for lunch. I am not all that hungry. I guess that's the point.
  15. I love my sleeve. My surgery was almost four weeks ago and I have lost 22 pounds so far. I considered getting the lap band, but realized the sleeve was the better option. I hope things go well for you.

Can't Take In All The Food Required

Hey, I am 3 weeks post op and I was told to do stage 1 for 2weeks, stage 2 for 2 wks with just protein drinks, 2wks of soft foods stage 3, then stage 4. That does seem like alot of food. I am full after the protein drink. I guess each doctor is different. You might want to talk to the nutritionist and see what is recommended.

    New Here..

I had surgery on dec 7 and have been on liquids since the 5th. I should be on stage 3 (soft foods) on Monday and can't wait. Everyone is different tho. Some doctors have people on liquids either shorter or longer than that. It just depends on your doc.
  19. I was told they would come off themselves between 10-14 days. I got a little impatient and took one off and realized it was a wee bit too early. One hadn't fully closed yet, but they just said to put a band aid on it and it should be fine. It's ok now. Every doctor is different.

6 Days Away From Soft Food

I can't wait to eat my first soft food. I am not hungry or really craving, I am just sick of liquids. I should be able to go on soft foods Monday. Yippee, I can't wait.
  21. That's awesome. I felt the same way after a week. Now I am 3 weeks post op and have lost 20 pounds total so far. Good luck
  22. If you're getting dehydrated, then you need to let the Dr. know. If you wait too long that could be dangerous. I know it is hard to drink right now, but the key is to sip all day long. You need to start early to get all your fluid needs in. But, I think you need to call your Dr also. Good luck.
