    YES!!!!!!!!! Best decision ever made.

    5 Days Out Of Surgery

My first 2 weeks was clear liquids only, then full liquids. After that soft foods, then solid. Did you surgeon or Nut give you a plan of what you should do? Peanut butter and crackers seems a little much to me.

    New Here, Coping With Leak/abscess

There are many on this forum that had or still have a leak. You should do a search in the search box and put in "Leak. It will show all the topics with leak in it. I know of one that went through this problem. Her name is Jasleeve. She had a rough time also. I am sorry you have to go through this. Maybe this will help.

    Halfway To Goal!

Good for you!! Keep up the good work!
  5. Sooooo....I have been craving soda like you wouldn't believe. I have even been dreaming about drinking it. My surgeon had even told me not to have it. I finally caved in today and had a few sips. Well, it didn't kill me, but I am probably not going to have anymore for a very long, long while. The fizziness made air get stuck in my chest and was very uncomfortable. At least I am not craving anymore. I am 3 1/2 months post op, so it was probably too early anyway.
  6. I broke out when I used the Nectar protein Fuzzy Navel. I switched to the strawberry kiwi and didn't have anymore problems after that.
  7. It was allowed on my pre-op stage and the 2 week clear liquid stage after surgery. It had 23 grams of protein. I got a rash and was allergic to it, so I had to try a different one. Don't worry, you will do just fine. Just do what your doctor tells you to do.
  8. I was on the pre-op diet for 2 days only and lost 7 pounds. I was having broth, water, crystal light, and also have the Nectar protein Fuzzy Navel. The fuzzy navel made me break out and I couldn't take it anymore. I switched to the strawberry kiwi. I was very hungry, so I just drank as much as I could. But anyway, hope this helps.

    So Frusterated!

Hey, you've lost 40 pounds. It's wonderful. Don't worry about what other people are thinking, be happy with yourself. It will show eventually and everyone will see it. What matters now is what you are feeling and how you feel like you look.
  10. I thought Muscle Milk tasted gross, in my opinion. I like the Premier Protein drinks. I'd like to try to second one you listed, it sounds good.

Salmon baked- I am 14 weeks post op. So you guys will get there soon.
  12. Hey everyone, I got great news from my surgeon. I have lost 32% of my weight and according to their scale 50 pounds in 14 weeks. My BMI is now 43. So exciting. I have never felt so good in my life. The only thing is the NUT told me I could only have 5 g carbs per meal. I want more carbs! Oh well, at least I am losing weight.

    1 Week Stall - What?

I was doing well my first 2 weeks with the weight loss. Then the infamous stall hit me at the beginning of the third week. I was the same weight for 10 days and thought I would never lose weight again. Now week 14 I am 45 pounds down. Don't worry, you are gonna hit stalls. I find that I won't lose for a week, then all of a sudden I will lose 2-3 pounds another week.
  16. Hey, I had my surgery on December 7th and have lost 43 pounds. I lost 21 pounds that first month, but I did have a stall by the third week. I was annoyed. I am still losing and sometimes I go a week without losing weight. I know it is frustrating, but you are going to lose the weight. You seem to have done well so far. You just need to keep doing what you are doing. Maybe lay off the crackers. My surgeon has me on 400-600 calories until I lose 75% of my weight. I guess some doctors are different with what they want others to do.
  17. I am finally in the 220's. Even though it is 229.8, i have finally made it. I haven't been in the 220's since I had my son 7 years ago. I know it's not onderland, but I am happy with my weight loss so far. I have lost 43 pounds and feel better and happier than ever and don't regret having surgery. This is the best decision I have ever made for me.

    Finally 220's

Awesome, keep up the good work and thanks for the reply!
  20. I finally weigh less than my husband also. Isn't a great feeling
  21. I think it's great that you are doing this and not letting anyone tell you differently. Don't let anyone get you down. I think you need to be honest with your husband though. He's going to realize anyway that it won't be easy if he happens to do it. What if he decides not to do it?

Time Of The Month During Your Surgery?

When they wheeled me into the room right after the surgery the nurses said I just started. They said that the stress of the surgery could bring it on. I was like "Oh great." It's no big deal.
  23. Way to go! You look great and keep up the good work.
