As far as Vitamins my doc said the Centrum tummies were good. I track Water by a combination of the 36oz bottle I carry and use an an called fitbit that tracks calories as well as activity and Water. There are fitbit devices that you can buy that track steps and activity and such and sync up with the smart phone app but if you just want to use the app itself is free. You can also set your phone to send you reminders to drink.
I use the Mio and crystal light stuff, I like it. It makes things a little different but I also love water on its own.
A good Protein is unjury, you can find it online. I prefer to get the unflavored that way it's easier to add to stuff and not notice the flavor.
Good luck.

Sorry, it sucks but yes headaches on the pre op are common. Since its usually such a drastic change from what you had been eating your body is just trying to adjust and may be experiencing withdraw from caffeine, sugar and carbs. I had a five day Migraine with my pre op diet. I don't know what your specific diet consists of but maybe try a cup of black coffee or some oj. I have heard other people say that helped them. Good luck.

Yes, non scale victory. And the hope is that you use them a little more and not worry about the scale so much. Things like fitting in a booth at a restaurant, shopping at a non "big person" store, getting a compliment. Sometimes the scale won't budge for long periods its important to have other things to look at for motivation.

I have an 11cc band and my surgeon put 5cc in at my first fill. Honestly, it's fine. It isn't going to be as full as you think.

Old navy is my new favorite store now that I've lost enough to fit in there stuff again!

I had a three week wait. I called my doctors office once a week to see if they had heard yet. Finally that third call they said they had just received the email. Worth it.

Hey there Jersey people. I am in Salem county and am starting to notice the sagging so would like some suggestions as well.

They also use your nails bed as an indicator for oxygen in your body.

I had 5cc as my first fill in may. It was great, I just went last week for my second fill and got another 2cc in.

When you ate that bit of roll you may have irritated the band area a bit and you may be swollen now. That would explain why when you get hungry again later you fill up super quick. It may take a few days for your belly to calm down again.

Keep drinking Water and get up and move as often as you can. You probably won't feel like it but it's the best thing for you. Good luck.

Yay, and good luck to you. This is a very exciting time. I would suggest that if you are planning on getting broth for after surgery you should think about buying regular cans of Soup and straining it for the broth. I tried the canned broth and it did not taste good, I couldnt even force myself to sip it. But if I took a regular can of soup and strained it, the broth was wonderful.

Hey there! I have a realize band. Its been two months since surgery and I have lost nearly 30 pounds so far. I am doing well with my band, I havent had any complications or problems with it. I have not been stuck on anything yet nor have I vomited. I have 5cc in an 11cc band. There is no food that I can not eat (that I have found so far). I just take my time with little bites and long chews. Good luck to you!

I have always been the one at work who is always hot and sweaty. I never wear long sleeves or jackets, even in the winter. I am the first to put the air conditioner on at work and as soon as I do all of the "skinny b*****s"start complaining about it while they are there in there skimpy next to nothing outfits.
Well, I will say that I have lost nearly thirty pounds and am feeling the difference already. We have had some really hot days here in Jersey already and I must say that it was nice to not be as hot and as sweaty as I would have before. Hopefully it keeps getting better.

Hi there. Good luck to you and hopefully going to the seminar helps you get a better picture of what is ahead of you. You mentioned that you have no self control when it comes to food. Getting the lap band is not going to fix that, if you look on this site you will see plenty of people who still struggle with those issues. But hopefully if you do choose the band you will have plenty of support, and if you are doing it for the right reasons you will be able to overcome some of your issues and find long term success. Good luck to you, we are always here if you need us!

Wow, how absolutely amazing! Congrats on finally being able to have that baby! You can definitley get back to onederland, just keep reminding yourself of the key principles of the band and good healthy eating in general. You will do great!

I am glad I found this thread...my friends who know have been telling me they see a difference...but yesterday I saw my family who doesn't know and they did not say a word! I was a bit distressed.
I immediately told my friends to stop blowing smoke up my @$$!! They just laughed.
This is exactly what I am going through! ,y husband tells me all the time how I look like I am changing and slimming down, but not one single person who doesnt know about the surgery has said anything! So frustrating.

First, please call your surgeon about the port. And about the hunger, your not that far away from surgery and you are still swollen inside so it's very likely you just aren't hungry. Are you keeping up with your Water? That is a very important part of healing. I don't know about the sleep though. Good luck.

I just bought a fitbit yesterday. I love it. Definitely helping me think differently about how much I move and what I eat. I am very glad I got it.
-
Wow, congrats so far! Its nice to lose a nice little bit right off the bat for some extra motivation. Don't over do it though!

Since the fitbit and the body bugg are about the same price I would go with the fitbit, it looks better and has some awesome features. I think I will be getting one.
How big is yours?
