This is something I am nervous about as well. I have about 81lbs to lose. I am scheduled for surgery on the 20th but check into the hospital on th 19th. I am starting to freak out!

Mine is on the 20th and I am getting more and more nervous!

So I am one of the few getting sleeved on the 20th and starting to get so nervous. I keep going back and forth again on if I should do this. Anyone else feeling this way?

I will be having VGS here, come the new year. I am on the waiting list and just waiting for the call with the date.

Well since I will be going through a military hospital, they do not go through the insurance. However I am waiting for the surgeon to call me with a date. I have done everything that was asked and hoping for them to call me soon with a Jan date!

When I called Willford which is no longer doing them said everything eas moved over to Brooke Army Medical, but they are also not doing them right now as they do not have a surgeron to do them. Carl Darnall is doing them, Fort Hood, TX

Well I am finally one step closer to surgery. I completed everything I needed seminar, 2 wls meetings, psy eval. Then surgeron told me they would have to relook over my medical records due to a possible TIA. After explaining they never comfirmed it was a TIA and looking over the medical records. They have put me on the list and now just awaiting a call with a surgery date!

Someone said I should post this in the post op so I am reposting this here as well. Thanks I am in the process of deciding if Sleeve is the way I want to go. I am pretty sure but still have lots of questions. We have to attend a nutrition class and weight loss support group twice before we can have the surgery. During the nutrition class the lady was saying that we would not be able to eat soft white bread again and would only eat about 4-6 oz. Is that about right for a year out? I understand everyone is different, but just wondering. Its not that I want to be able to eat soft white bread, but mainly my question is regarding more of what all can you eat at a year out? Pretty much anything you wish just in smaller amounts I assume? And about how much are you eating? Also my second question is did you have to have a tummy tuck? Did you find anything that helped with the saggy/loose skin etc. I am planning on contiuning to work out, but how long after surgery could you start working out again? Another one, I have a younger daughter. When will I be able to lift her again? Or can expect to? Thanks in advance I am sure I will have more questions later

I could travel, but I would not know where to begin to set it all up? Do you know how I would go about it.

I will for sure!!! ANd you please do the same! I am wanting the sleeve and not near a MTF as well. Next year I will be near one, but was hoping to get it done before we had to move again.

Any word on if they are covering the VGS now that they have made a bunch of changes with Tricare and WLS>??
