Got my first cravings tonight- pineapple (fresh) and spaghetti with meat sauce. We went to Whole Foods, since I want to make an effort to eat some organic stuff, and got some fresh strawberries, pineapple, bananas, celery, and then I spotted some tropical frozen fruit bars that screamed out to me from the ice cream section. I ate one on the way home and it was So Good.
We also went by Buy Buy Baby to look for some kind of gift to give hub's parents to announce the pregnancy. We are going down to visit them this weekend so we can tell them in person. I found a picture frame for each of them- "I love Grandpa" and "My heart belongs to Nana" (my MIL told me a few years ago that when she has grandchildren she wants to be called Nana) are the inscriptions at the bottoms of the frames. Then I also got two little board books- one about grandmas and one about grandpas. We plan on breaking the news by wrapping this all up as one gift and letting them open it. Can't wait to see their faces! We've been married for almost seven years, and my MIL especially is dying to have her first grandbaby.
I also bought some "Preggie Pops", because I have been feeling more queasy this evening, and they work!

Thanks so much everyone! I don't have an appointment yet to see the dr- I'm going to call tomorrow morning and see if I can come in. If the due date calculator is right, we'll get to hold our little baby around mid-March

Yes, He is!!!! I think if this baby is a girl we are going to name her Eliana- it means "God has answered". This child is such a blessing, and an answer to so many prayers!

Oh yeah, I meant to also say- HOW EXCITING, Cheri! Praying for you, and I so hope you have another little one to love soon! Aren't children such a blessing? I always get so excited when I hear another baby is coming- let me know how it goes!

The blood test results came back- I ovulated! We just have to wait a couple more days to find out if I'm pregnant. At least if it didn't happen this time around, we know I responded to the treatments and we can try again. But hopefully there's a little baby in there somewhere....

Hey everybody! It's been a long, long time since I have posted anything, but I wanted to just put an update out there. I was sleeved Dec. 20, 2011, and have lost 54 pounds so far. The doc gave me the green light for getting pregnant a couple weeks ago, and I am doing my first cycle of Clomid. I am so excited! We go to count eggs in 2 days! I have been wanting this for so long now, and I can't believe it's finally happening. DH and I have been wanting a child for over 4 years now. We didn't find out that I had an issue until 2 years ago, and I was diagnosed with PCOS. I am so thrilled to finally be at this point, and hope so much that we can get pregnant right away!

The results on the test yesterday were very good- my tubes are all clear! Thursday we count eggs!

Aw! That's awesome @rodswife! I would so love to have a house full of children someday too! Wednesday is the big day to see how the eggs are looking and I'm praying HARD. I wouldn't say no to twins. We've been waiting and wanting so long that a nice multiple birth would feel like making up for lost time, lol.

Hey there Moregan, You and I are on similar journeys! I was diagnosed with PCOS almost two years ago, and have been overweight since I was seven! And I want a baby, too! That's how I found out about the PCOS to start with, and a big reason why I decided to go forward with sleeve surgery. It has changed my life big-time! I am now 8 weeks post-op, and I've lost 32 pounds. I don't have to take metformin anymore, thank goodness, but this path so far has not been easy. It's only the las couple weeks that I've really felt like myself since the surgery, and had somewhat normal energy levels. food and I still don't get along very well if I'm not careful- I haven't thrown up a single time since surgery, but I gave gotten dumping syndrome a few times after having a little of something I shouldn't have had. And Dehydration is a constant worry.
However, this surgery has given me a new outlook on life. Despite my troubles, the weight is coming off. I don't get out of breath climbing stairs. I am down from a size 4X/ 28 to size 22, and some 1X's in less than two months!! I have the confidence to be able to plan and dream about a much more enjoyable future! And, I don't really feel hungry anymore. It is way cool to have five or six bites at dinner and be done!
So, yes it is scary. And there are needles. BUT, there are also DRUGS! Lol. And when you're done, recovered (this part takes time and is also way not fun), and skinny, then there will be a BABY!! I hope my perspective was helpful, and God bless your journey!

Kimmie- 15 pounds in 2.5 weeks is AWESOME! You go, girl! I lost 10 pounds my first week after surgery and one pound the second week, so you are going at a fab rate! I remind myself when I start feeling down about not losing more quickly that a little extra time between pounds is a little extra blessing to my shrinking skin, helping it try to keep up!

Oh my GOSH!! just talked to the surgeon's office, and scheduled the surgery for the 20th!!!! Now I am SCARED!!! lol. It's a happy scared, though. I am just so excited that it's all coming together!

Oh, congratulations! I just know your dreams will come true!!!
I also struggle with PCOS, and am having the sleeve surgery in hopes of gaining fertility. No date set yet for the surgery, though. Good luck to us all!
