    Like Button Not Working

I've been on here since December, and I've always had that problem. The Like button will work for a handful of posts, then it just stops working. I always thought it was strange. (I use Safari)

    Whats Worst

Yeah....I agree...the VSG surgery was a little harder on me also, but I had a hernia repair thrown in, so I was on pain meds for 2 solid weeks 24/7. It gave me a hard time. The stomach part was fine though. After gall bladder surgery, I was fine after a few days. BEFORE gall bladder surgery, however, was some of the worst pain i've ever experienced in my life! And I've given birth to twins! lol

    Bougie To Big?

Looking at that picture, the difference is almost negligible. As long as he did not leave any of the stretchy part of the stomach, you're good to go. I have a 34, and sometimes I think I can eat way too much, but I think I healed a lot faster than some people. My capacity and tolerance came rather quickly. I was hoping for a longer period of surgical swelling. (siighh) Oh well. It's working anyway! You'll do great too!
  4. OOOOO!!! Did anyone speak for these yet?? I will take them if not.

    Ate To Much?

At three weeks, I was just barely starting blenderized foods. I was still two weeks away from soft solids. It's kinda weird that he told you to eat what you can tolerate at this early stage, but every surgeon is a little different. Meats are a little hard to handle so early. I'd say the softer the food the better. You want quality healing. You only get one shot at healing, so don't push it. My two cents. That and $4.50 will get you a cup of burnt tasting coffee at starbucks! LOL
  7. Ok- I have a question- when I see the icon on my phone's screen, sometimes there is a red number, indicating, I suppose, unread posts from my content. Correct? Well, when I open the app, I can not tell where the posts are to which this red number refers. I poke around on new content and such, but the same number is there when I'm done. Where am I supposed to look to address those new numbers? It gets up into the hundreds, and I don't know how to find them.

    Help!

I was told to stay away from citrus for several weeks. I got Mott's for Tots. Lower sugar. Once you start eating though, drop the juices. Right now it's really helpful.

Go to your profile page and click on the little square where the picture belongs, and it should guide you through the upload of a new pic.

    Help!

Don't worry so much about protein the first week. A lot of us were on clear liquids for a full week at least after surgery. Drinking and walking is your biggest task right now.

    Super Saturday Weigh In

I've been stalled for about a week now. I'm expecting a drop soon though. Clothes are falling off!
  13. OOOOHHHHHHH ....On FB??? Okay.....that makes more sense now! I had to get off of FB last August. I wasn't getting things done like I was supposed to, so I had to ditch it. So...I get a bit out of the loop sometimes!
  14. Ok. This was awesome! My husband has a habit of walking past me and smacking me a good one on the butt. Usually too hard and I have to whine at him. So tonight, I was wearing a pair of jeans I haven't worn in years. I was showing him the pants and I said "go ahead! Smack it!" He said Nooooo, it's too small and delicate, I might break it! HAAA!!!! He called my butt small and delicate!! He's never said anything on me was small OR delicate! (It's not really small by many definitions, but I guess compared to what he was USED to looking at....) YESSSS!!!!
  15. Your appetite changes drastically when sleeved. (especially after the Grehlin gets out of your system) You will do GREAT. EVERYone second guesses themselves right before surgery. If you are supposed to be on liquids be sure you're good from here on out. They need your digestive tract cleaned out! It's hard, but you can do it!! You got this!!

    Surgery Tomorrow!

I just had to be nervous. Tried to distract myself with whatever I could, but mostly prayed a lot. It'll be in the rearview mirror before you know it!

    Before & Now Pictures

So THAT's what you look like!! You've never had a picture on your .....picture...before. COOL! You look FANTASTIC!! Good job!!
  18. Yes. It's all of it! LOL Some people take a while to get that surgical gas reabsorbed into the body, so it causes pain to the shoulder. The hernia, for me, was the slowest healing part of the whole deal. I was on pain meds for exactly two weeks as often as I was allowed to take it because of the hernia repair. I went through two bottles! Right at 2 weeks it stopped hurting. I'm three months out, and just a week ago I had one day where is just killed me all day. I called the surgeon and they said it was "scarring down" and the mesh is pulling and absorbing. So yes. That hernia will cause some issues- some people DO have trouble drinking and or eating at first because of it. It will get better though, I promise!

    Restaurant Card

Yep. A la carte or appetizer (if there's a healthy one). I, too do not care to chat about the situation. I MIGHT bust it out if we end up at a buffet with friends. We went to a new Mexican restaurant here in town and I ordered a chicken taco à la carte and it was 3.25. my dinner was so cheap! I love it!

    Dallas June Sleevers?

I was sleeved by Dr. Kim In February. You all are going to love him and his staff and Forest Park Medical center. It's awesome!
  23. I used to get the herbed creamy tomato soup and swirl in a bit of the cheese soup. Tasted like pizza.
  24. Welcome welcome! My surgery was in February also! That's awesome that you got sleeved on Fat Tuesday! Very cool. Looking forward to your progress.
