  1. My Dr's office said Cigna has a 6-mos medically-supervised wt-loss program requirement prior to approving surgery. I'm bummed out about it, but I've "weighted" 45+ years (LOL), so 6 mos longer shouldn't be too bad. yeah right. :cry :phanvan
  2. I'm in SC -- unoffically, my insurance will approve AFTER a 6-mos medically-supervised wt-loss program. (BOO- HISS). com'on !! I've been medically supervised on MANY diets, starting in 12th grade. I have a 45+ year history of wt re-gaining. Too bad THAT doesn't count. I was really hoping to get going quickly now that I made the decision.
  3. Hi everyone. I'm Maggie, from SC and went to my introductory mtg on 12/8. I'm definitely interested in getting the lapband procedure, but like most people am concerned about possible failure. Dr Bohr was stating that lapband folks typically only lose 55% of their needed weight using the band. I know that percentages are made from averaging all the success rates, so the range of loss can be from small to large. :hungry: My typical eating pattern is grazing, which he said makes it hard to succeed. And sweet-aholics, too, which I also am to some extent. Looking forward to hearing everyone's comments. Maggie
