  2. Wow I can't believe at 8 month there is such a restriction to only be able to eat about 1/2 cup. He told me I could eat 8 oz. now, but like i said i can't, but I can certainly eat 4 oz! Do you wait 1/2 hour after eating to drink? Also do you only have 3 meals a day at 8 months and 2 Snacks? thanks!
  3. What an awesome acccomplishment! 'You must feel so much better!
  4. I cannot have pasta, bread, or rice until atleast next week (10 weeks) when I see the doctor again. But I don't even miss pasta cuz I hate the taste of whole wheat pasta and that's what we are supposed to have!
  5. Wow what a difference! You look so cute with the short hair. Great job!
  6. Just wondering how many oz. you can eat during a meal at 8 months? 8I am 9 weeks out and can have 8 oz., but can't get it in. How long did itvtake foryou to eat 8 oz. at a meal?
  7. The Quest Bars have been sold. Thanks!
  8. I have 19 quest bars in assorted flavors. If you are interested for $20.00, message me. They are just too sweet and dense for me.
  9. My downfall was popcorn before my surgery. I am 9 weeks out and still can't eat bread so I would think I will not be allowed popcorn for awhile. Because of the swelling I was told. Too easy to get stuck. That's really the only hing I miss. DOn't miss bread or pasta at all. I hate whole wheat pasta and just won't eat it!
  10. Please be careful with your food choices and follow your doctor's instructions. I am 9 weeks out and still can't have bread or pizza dough (although Wasa crackers are ok earlier). I would think you would be still on a liquid diet at this point. Be careful!
  11. If they would have given you a TPN and PICC line, I don't think you would be going through this!
  12. I don't really track fats. But I have switched to buying all low-fat or reduced fat things. Can'r handle fat free really for the taste so I don't go there. I concentrate more on carb and sugar content.
  13. Be careful of the skin. That's what will get you!
  14. I was not allowed peanut butter or crackers in the mushy stage.
  15. I know this is a dumb question, but what does it feel like to be constipated? I don't think I have ever been. I still have not had a BM since my diahrrea ordeal on Saturday. I don't have a tummy ache or anything or feel bad. Although i hdid not hardly eat anything Saturday but was able to eat a little more yesterday.
  16. They have them on their website too.
  17. We had dinner one night (I didn't have that much) and then there was leftovers for him for lunch the next day. he said it was better leftover! It doesn't make as much as you would think. It's not that deep. definietley worth 19.99 at World Market!
  18. I found an extra strength Tylenol Arthritus which is a little stronger than regular Tylenol that is supposed to be good for backaches and headaches too, you might try that. I know I always used to think Tylenol was worth a hill of Beans, but now I have changed my mind! I used to get alot of headaches every night, but since my surgery they are gone!
  19. Yum, prime rib sounds good! Can't wait!
  20. I told my husband we were having Bourbon Chicken tonight and he said he hoped I was doing it in that clay thing! LOL!
  21. My doctor said absolutely no ibuprofen or aspirin. he said ibuprofen will possibly cause your sleeve to bleed. he said Aleve is the worst. It actually has a warning on the label saying it could cause your stomach to bleed.
  22. Lissa, That is awesome that he said that after he hugged you! I hope he is very proud of you and what you have done for yourself!
  23. I still wish you would ask them about the TPN. Nothing goes into your stomach that way, and it would definitely give you time to heal as well as give you all the nourishment you need to stay healthy.
  24. Saturday I had a bad day. I was 8 1/2 weeks out and the first time I had a little tummy ache all day and horrible watery diahrrea. I took an anti-diahrreal and it stopped but didn't have a BM at all yet. So yesterday I took some Miralax, but so far even today, noi BM yet. I have not stopped drinking liquids at all in order to keep hydrated. I hope it was just a touch of this flu that's going around here since I had a little of a temp also. I will take another Miralax later. I don't know if I am constipated or not!
  25. I am not on steak yet, although I am not having a problem with any other meats, including ground beef. Can't wait to try steak. I don't go to the doctor til the 23rd and I imagine he will put me on it then, and also bread. Do you marinate the chicken in the dressing first?
