I can' t have bread yet but was craving a sandwich so I made an open face with a light rye WASA cracker, a slice of muenster cheese, mustard, a piece of turkey lunchmeat, and a sliced dill pickle! It tasted sooo good and was very filling. Makes me think I may never want real bread again!

How Soon Did You Start Working Out After Gastric Sleeve Surgery, Other Questions
SleeveDreamer replied to Liliana Arleen's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I started the treadmill too at 30 minutes at 2.5 mph and have gradually gone up to 3.5 mph. My doctor told me to stay at 30 minutes until 8 weeks which will be in two weeks. Also about the water thing, I found when I took too big of gulps that I burped big time! I am wanting to find a water aerobics class too! -

Inevitable "where's My Restriction?!?!" Freak Out Post
SleeveDreamer replied to Tenshi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow that soon after surgery, you should still be on no more than 4 oz. at a time? Be careful of your intake. I am on regular foods now and was just moved up to 8 oz. at a time ( although i can't get it all in). Creamed soup sound like it should be in the full liquid stage, but not on clear liquids. Please be careful! -

My dr automatically prescribed something for me to take everyday for about 3 months. Alot of them do that. I'm sure your dr would. It is Not uncommon after surgery I guess, however, I have not had it since I have been taking it everyday! Hope you get it resolved.

How far out are you? Are you on regular foods yet? -
My doctor and dietician suggested them and said it was fine to eat them as long as I took small bites and chewed well. That's why I like the Snak'mm's cuz they are so small. and even if you eat just one, it gives your diet kind of a zing you are craving! I was advised though to peel anything with skin (apples, pears, tomatoes) right now.

You will be fine. I never had any pain after my sleeve, so don't think you will. Think positive and think what a great thing you are doing for yourself and your body!

The Vlasic Snack'mm's are really good and crunchy. There are three in a serving cuz they are small, but even if you only eat one, it is very tasty and crunchy. No calories or carbs. tastes good with turkey slice and string cheese.

Hi chef I was wondering if you need to dice up the meat first or if you have ever tried doin a whole piece? I just bought a 1 lb. pork tenderloin. Can I put it in whole or would it be better to even slice it up first? You are the pro that's why i am asking! -

SleeveDreamer replied to alexeleni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know with me if it was really cold instead of room temp. I felt that way once. Try it at room temp and see if that helps. I find I burp more after liquids if not room temp for some reason! -
Since I had a three week delay due to some complications with my hiatial hernia surgery, I am probably going to start soft foods tomorrow. My question is do you ever get to eat more than 4 oz. at a time, do you always have to wait 1/2 hour between eating and drinking, are you always restricted to 4 oz. of liquids at a time? I am really not talking about right now, while I am still healing, I guess I am referring to later. Or if this does change, when does it change? I read so manyof you drink 30 oz. of Starbucks at a time and sip tons of water all day and don't understand how you do it wih these restrictions. Thanks for clarifying for me.
