I had my consult with him on March 7th- and my surgery date is April 27th!!! I had already completed my process through Kaiser so when I met him all I had to do was the support group and the seminar. I have not yet done the support group.

I was told by my surgeron i had to drink 10oz of it the night before surgery.. And i am someone who does not do liquid medication very well, i am so scare of what this tasts like. I hope it is do-able for me.. I am so scared. the doctor said i can buy it at the store, i saw the bottle at Target for 99 cents..

OMG I thought I was the only one!!! My surgery date is April 27th and although I mentally want to start eating right I physically cant... This is the time that i knew I was an addict becuase now they told me to watch what I eat and prepare for life after surgery my mind wont let me! I mind keeps playing tricks on me LOL. but maybe when it comes closer My mind will let me start with a healthier path, well at least I hope so!!!

I have my surgery scheduled for April 27th! the day after yours... I am soo excited! but scared at the same time. I never knew how adicted to food i was until the Surgeon told me not to gain any more weight.. It has been hard but doing okay.

how long after your surgery did you start to feel better???

Sorry i am trying to learn how to use this app on my phone. But to answer ur question my surgeon did say i should continue to loose weight up until my surgery date. But up until the it didnt seem like that big of a deal on how much was lost.

sorry i am not in West La Either. but i am going to the Corona Kaiser, so i can tell you my experience at that Kaiser dont know how similar it was to West La- My options class finished the 1st week of January. i met with the surgeon on Wed- and they had availability to schedule my surgery as soon as April 16th. Hope that time line kind of helps you out.

Hi everyone, i finally got a surgery date which will be June 8th however i keep going back and forth about the date because i have a trip planned to go to TN on June 28th -July 9th, So if anyone can give advice or recommendations if this surgery date is too close to my trip??? SHould i be okay??? I know i will be very restricted at this point and I am okay with that, i am just worried about how people usually feel at 3 weeks out. are you tired??? still nauseated??? Hi there! I am so happy to hear from people that live close to me also and that are going through Kaiser! I also finished my 12 week option program and learned alot from it as well. I have my consulation with Dr Suh in Murrieta on March 7th. And yes there were a ton of tests that i had to take during that options program LOL. but I also was not required to have a 3 month track history before they referred me. I got lucky becuase i called the Weight program directly and they just booked the orientation for me without getting the referral from my Primary doctor.. Keep us posted!

Is it just me or have you all noticed that when people find out about you getting the sleeve they dont always have the reaction you would have liked? I am not getting any dissapointments but for me when i think about the sleeve i think of it like im turning 21 again, or im pregnant, or getting married! Like it is a supper exciting day and then i go and tell someone and their response is like " that's great" with a mellow tone.. I know i am looking too much into this but i just kind of felt like they should have that super excited tone like i do.. This is in no way a complaint but just a observation. And it just makes me laugh inside on how excited i am for it.... :purplebananna:

OMG a TUBE in your throat!!! holy cow!!! That will for sure be a question for my surgeon when i meet him for my consultation!!!! If i was in your shoes i would have acted like a two year old as well... LOL

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I have been browsing around for a bit, and wasnt sure if I officially wanted to post something yet or wait until I officially have a surgery date. but here i go.... I live in southern Ca, and have Kaiser, so i am currently going through the 12 week class, keeping my fingers crossed throughout the way that I get approved in the end. I see tons of great success stories and cannot wait until i am in that group and sharing my before and after pictures with everyone. Just a little about myself. I am 31 years old, weigh 245. I have Trichotillomania which if anyone doesnt know it is a hair puling disorder. I use to have long curly hair and now am left pretty much with NONE. I know this sleeve has nothing to do with my hair pulling but i pray every night that it may help me in the end. I will be around going through peoples pictures so please don't mind me.. Im not a stalker just love to see everyone's success... Thank you everyone for taking time to read!
