  1. Anything over 1300 calories and u gain? That is just not right ! I am in maintainence now and Sparks said I should eat over 1500 calories to maintain. Humm I will stay under 1300.
  2. The most important thing to me is being a well rounded person and loving each person for who we are giving back to my community. Family is not only relatives it's also people that we love and love us back. This forum is family to me and I love reading about each of our journey's.
  3. I really love the feedback. I am working on exercising. Keeping my home free of crap. I could just imagine how I would lie to myself and eat the foods. I love my Quest bars. They do have 170 calories so now I am satisfying myself with 1/2 of one. I can go to the mall and by pass all the goodies except See's Candies. So my challenge is to just avoid See's. I will break this habit. I am a food addict and my name is Dorrie! LOL. Lynda I am going to change my bounce weight from 5 lbs to 2 lbs also to keep focused. Great idea. I am at a point where I believe I am at goal now. So maintaining will be a challenge.
  4. OMG! This is hilarious! I hate telemarketers with a passion and just hang up on them.......
  5. I started sleeping on my right side at 1 week out. I learned how to crawl in bed on my knees and lay on my right side. The crawling helped a lot. The nurse at the hospital on my last day told me that. Wish they would of told me that in the beginning. Use your legs to scoot on the bed. It really did make a difference.
  6. It breaks my heart that you are stuck where you are in your weight loss journey. It doesn't seem fair at all. I know you have totally struggled for a really long time. have you had your thyroid checked. Something is definitely not right. You are very diligent and are doing the right things that should contribute to weight loss.....I also know that stress causes our bodies to release cortisol and you have been exercising a ton so the cortisol levels should be down. I would talk to your doctor about this. I am sending healing energy your way to help alleviate some of the symptoms.
  7. I love his honest replies and he does have quite a few under his belt now. Hope things go well for you.
  8. This brings tears to me because the damage was done. I want to wrap my arms around my daughter and tell her how beautiful she is.
  9. Nothing pornographic yet. Lol looking good and so proud of u. Thanks for sharing.
  10. 20 months out and I have smelly urine. But I'm skinny now.
  11. I am working on just avoiding See's all together. This will be hard....I do graze on proteins basically, but the calories do sneak up there. So today I had 1/2 a quest bar and felt really good about it. In fact I felt full. I have been just eating the whole bar without being mindful of my fullness. Today I went shopping and my urge did go away. And I did get hungry at the appropriate time. I also made myself a tea and forgot to drink it so I'm drinking it right now.....Perhaps as time goes on and we stay on top of this, our habits will take over....IDK...... Anyways, this is quite a journey and now I totally understand what the surgeon meant when she said this is the hardest thing I will ever to to my daughter. Oh, and she also see's it too. LOL
  12. We are all on the same boat! LOL with a beautiful smile cheering each other on.....BTW, there really is no pond between us now.....we are together in this....Yayyyyyyyy for such wonderful people......Some day I hope to go to Wales and meet you....
  13. I was reading a post on another thread and one thing really hit me hard and that I had been thinking about constantly. For awhile now, I have been thinking about food constantly. I'm not hungry, but I will sometimes eat anyways. I am so tired of this behavior and it has to stop. So I'm hoping others will share how they manage these pesky thoughts and stay on track. I believe it has lead me to grazing behavior. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Time to kick my butt. I can't even go to mall now because I know how to get free chocolates from See's Candies. I am so sabotaging myself right now..... I know others are struggling with this too so now what do we do and how do we change this?
  14. What a beautiful transformation! You look absolutely beautiful you beautiful women and it shows in your smile and eyes!
  15. Cheesecake Factory? WTF? Sorry over reaction...... Mom is crazy but so is mine...... I hope this is a fabulous weekend for you and you have a wonderful trip....with your dear hubby!
  16. This is stated so perfectly....I can see each one of us out in the open sea heading across the pond with so much confusion. What do we do now....I like that this is an open discussion and we can bounce thoughts each other......then tweak things to fit us. I remember when i was working with a PT and told me that I needed to up my Protein to a ridiculously high number and I was like, how am I going to do that? I can barely eat this and this.... ????? When I went to a diabetes class, nothing fit for me......I was totally abnormal....... felt different...... I also went to see a nutritionist and the same thing. She kept saying to eat more.......I was like what? How? so I have to modify it or me......This is so confusing and I have to make my own path. frustrating to say the least but I still love my eating. I did contemplate the TDEE stuff but do not want to risk putting on weight and then it not coming back off. Fear sucks.....thank you M2G for sharing.....
  17. Girl you are so lucky to be alive! Yep, You have saved your life.......and a size 4 pants to boot! I love hearing this and am very happy for you and for us being able to hear your experiences.....
  18. I am very fortunate that my diabetes is under control right now. My husband is diabetic but refuses to have this procedure. So I have him take cinnamin and chromium piccalate. He also doesn't eat any breads, pastas, rice, or potatos and he is having to take less insulin now. So as a precaution, i am also taking cinnamon caps and chromium piccalate for my blood sugar problems even though I don't have any anymore. I take it because my A1C is in the 6 range and I want it in the 5 range.
  19. We will have to meet sometime really soon. I see your scheduled to be sleeved in July. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me......
  20. We have some very wonderful people on this board that are celebrating their birthdays this day! My birthday is in February and I've started celebrating my birthday the whole month of February! Yep, that's my month... LOL SO FYE and Laura, the whole month of June is your special month and everyone else who's birthday is in June..... Very special month. I am so thankful to know you two as part of my VST family.
  21. On previous posting of mine, Laura your posting changed, it didn't put your quote in so I'm wondering what happened? All I got was a "Never mind." I really need to stop thinking about food. From the time I get up in the morning till I go to bed. I work on not going into the kitchen after 6:30pm so I don't eat, but I often get home from my office after 8:00 and then I raid the refrigerator.
  22. What are thread issues? I too am finding myself thinking about food all the time..... I find myself eating protein bars a lot now. I reflect back to when I was a child and I really never thought about food, i was busy doing other things, when I got bored, I started eating while watching TV because I was bored. Now days. All I do is think about food......This is a struggle and it's not easy. The first 6 months being sleeved was easy, now it's hard..........Time to focus on getting busy and not having time to think about food.......Can that be done? Wow, this is one of the hardest things we will do..............
  23. 5 Cheetos is not that bad I just had 6 hot Cheetos LOL. Good job Laura.
