  1. This is like a marriage. There is no going back for me. I will always need to be diligent and not allow myself to snack or graze. I love the 5:2 plan and it helps me to maintain my skinniness.
  2. It is so hard for me to fast and stay at or below 500. Georgia you can really rock your fasting days..... Coops I love that your having a good time on vacay too..Welcome Cowgirl Jane! ABTW i'm down to my almost lowest as of this am. I need just 1 more lb........I really did have a fantasy of weighing 135 lbs. So who knows, maybe it will just happen. LOL This is an obsession for me.
  3. Fasting is suppose to help with our doggies have an extended life too...... Hope he/she is doing better today. Keep on plugging on your fast day....
  4. This so sucks! I hope you find out what's going on really soon.......I'm doing really good here. My weight is in my bounce range now and I feel pretty good too. Tomorrow is my fast day too.... Happy Tuesday everyone!
  5. I can eat pretty much anything.....No problems here. Sometimes I do get a rush from sugars though, but nothing major...
  6. I had no complications after my surgery.......
  7. If you keep stressing out about this, your immune system will get weaker and you will get the stomach flu. Drink a lot of water if you can and if you start feeling a bit nauseous, go to your urgent care for something to take the nauseousness away.
  8. At this point in your recovery your stomach is less inflamed. It's time to put yourself on a schedule with eating a little bit every 2 hours. Since your not getting hardly any food in, your weight loss can or will slow down. Drink a RTD protein shake like Premier from Costco or Sam's club to get you started int he morning. Eat moist foods to help with getting the food into your stomach. You can do this, it's making new habits of taking care of yourself. Sip every time you get a chance, dehydration is the worst ever. It's not fun.
  9. Look how long it took you to gain the 80 lbs and how long it took you to lose it.......Wow, you only have 27 more lbs to go....that's fabulous. The hard part is the last 27 lbs will be little harder for your body to let go. But remember, stay diligent, eat mainly high protein, and veggies and the rest will come off. Eighty lbs is fantastic and I applaud you! CONGRATS it's time to do the happy dance and keep movin forward, don't let old behaviors sabotage your new life style......
  10. Soda is an addiction for me. I tried to stop drinking it for over 40 years until right before this surgery. Once I made the decision to better my life style for my health, I was able to give it up. I really don't miss it. I don't even think about it anymore. I do get tired of drinking diluted gatorade, crystal lite, powerade, or just plain water.... But I do treasure my skinny body and good health and plan on never drinking it again. I really don't miss it and I don't need it. JMHO. We all have are demons that we struggle with so I am not judging. Enjoy your ride to better health and skinniness.
  11. This is a healthy state of mind......This is what I strive for...if only I could get here sooner rather than later....But for now, I am a work in progress.
  12. So congrats on 3 years! How are u doing in maintenance? What is ur diet like? If the questions are too personal it's ok not to answer them.
  13. This is very interesting to read. My profession is working with couples that are struggling in their marriages and what I always assign for my couples to do is go out on a date night every week. To find something they both love to do and to switch it up all the time. Be creative and surprise each other with extra special attention. Oooops I feel like I'm at work right now.
  14. GT I hope the diagnoses is incorrect too. You've Had more than your share of struggles already. Dee I heard you've had like 2500 calories and don't feel guilty in the least. That's awesome. I know I fear gaining and I would painick if I ate that many calories. Lol. GT let us know how your doing we care about you.
  15. You really need to see your doctor. It's better safe than sorry.
  16. I went to the PBS website and was able to view the whole thing. It was well worth it, I love it when there are studies to validate the material that is being presented. I'm going to have my husband watch it when he gets home tonight or tomorrow morning before he goes to work. Since in maintenance I was thinking of just doing 1 fast day but am going to have 2 fast days a week just for the health benefits. Thanks for sharing this.....
  17. Cheri you look absolutely beautiful with your little one.....
  18. absolutely fascinating! I will be fasting for the benefits of cognition functioning as well. I am not sure about cutting back on my proteins though. What is your opinion on cutting back on proteins?
  19. I just tried to watch it and it was not available for viewing. I will have to try it again.
  20. Did you ask them how much your new cast weighs? sorry it's so tight..... This sounds like a wonderful vacay. Enjoy, the excess will fall off when you get back on track. I will have to go watch the video on the 5:2 diet but dread the hour to watch it. LOL
  21. Have a wonderful trip my dear! You so deserve it.... Hope you hear more about your adventure on vacay.....
