  1. All the time. I love eating out. I can only eat a very small portion and love to nibble off my families plates. Hubby still doesn't like to split a meal but I'm working on him! LOL I usually a protein and veggies and take left overs home.
  2. More or less, depending on your stomach. It is really soft and sort of runny.
  3. I'm pretty at goal but I am somewhat worried about keepint it off. After all, the sleeve is just a tool, it's the choices we make. So, I am going to live day by day and not worry about what I'm going to do. This body of mine is so hot that I just want to get some enjoyment out of it. Thinking aout it doesn't help me, it just causes me anxiety.
  4. He will want one later though! LOL That's a great idea. In and Out double double's are so delicious!
  5. Ooooooops~ it is more protein than stated. I will have to correct it. I just did~ thank you.
  6. When I see something trying to sell on this site, I hate it. I get a really bad view of that person and then I start questioning if they actually had the wls or is trying to expand their business. Those people need to get off of hear and post it where it belongs! Not here, not now. Sorry, I just had to vent. This is a great topic! Thanks for posting it!
  7. This is excellent recipe! Fish Pouch Plus 34 Proteins 1 Fats 2 Carbs This is an entire seafood meal in a pouch. No muss no fuss. When finished eating just toss pouch in trash with no cleanup!! ( This recipe may seem lenghty, but it's really a breeze.). Notice in directions I am using mostly frozen products ie fish and veggies for convenience and savings!! Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: Approximately 40 minutes Servings: 1 Ingredients --,1. 3 oz portion of fish (your choice ie: cod, tilapia, salmon etc) --1 oz shrimp. (approx 3 shrimp) --1 oz crabmeat ( lump or claw meat) --sweet potato slices (approx 10 slices. I use my mandolin to slice VERY thin) --summer squash(4 slices. I use frozen sliced squash) --zucchini (3 slices. I use frozen sliced zucchini) -- roasted red pepper ( optional, makes for a nice color contrast, or you can use fresh or frozen red, green or yellow bell peppers) -- 1/2oz slivered almonds ( optional, if you don't mind the added protein) -- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil --balsamic vinegar (optional) --1piece of parchment paper 15" wide by 18" long. (you can also use foil wrap if you don't have parchment paper) Directions Just a note: for this recipe I keep bags of indivually packaged frozen tilapia and salmon. The tilapia is pre-weighed in 3oz portion and salmon in 4 oz portions. I always keep a bag of frozen shrimp handy so I can just take out the few I need. You can also buy frozen white lump crabmeat for the savings and convenience.( When I use cod I buy fresh.) This makes for a very quick and healthy meal in just minutes. I SEASON EVERYTHING IN THE POUCH WITH OLD BAY SEAFOOD SEASONING. You can use any seasonings you wish. --Lay out parchment paper on counter ( I put something on all four corners to keep it flat or it will roll up on you). --place your sweet potatoes in a line in the center of the paper. Then in layers place the squash, zucchini, fish, shrimp, crab and red pepper. -- drizzle olive oil over all the above -- splash with balsamic vinegar to give an added zing to dish Now for the sealing of the pouch: fold over the top of the parchment paper and fold down to make flat. Then roll the sides to make a sealed pouch. -- transfer pouch to baking sheet --cook at 350 degrees for approximately 40 minutes -- place pouch on plate and open carefully. Eat from pouch to enjoy all of the great juices inside. When finished simply throw pouch away and you have little or no cleanup!! Coach's Note: Please add one Protein if you use nuts.
  8. I am having such a hard time with avoiding sugar right now. I went shopping and in the discount section, there was a whole bunch of chocolate candy. OMG! I wanted some so bad, so instead of the candy bars, I allowed myself to buy the ultimate chocolate brownie. Wow. When I took a bite, my stomach did not like it one bite. But it tasted so delishious! Now I just want more sugar! Don't like that I gave in! So uncontrolled. Here again my thoughts lied to me. When will I learn? Does anyone elso struggle with this? How do you handle it?
  9. It sounds like you might have taken 1 bite too many. I use to have that feeling and occasionally get the "in my throat feeling" when I've eaten a little too much. I do take omeprazole and my PCP increased the doseage from 20mg 1 time a day, to, 20mg 2 times a day. that seemed to help alot. It wouldn't hurt to call the surgeon's office and ask for advice. Oh, and realistically, right now your stomach is probable still swollen a little. It is important to be introducing new foods right and not just shakes.
  10. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! I'm sure you will be off your meds for diabetes really soon! Some are like within a week or two.
  11. I had a bruise and like a small bump on my left side, went to the surgeon, and it went away on it's own. I only get tender there when I over do things. As far as scars and stretch marks, I have a lot of stretch marks from being pregnant and loosing weight. I don't plan on wearing a bikini anytime soon.
  12. You will lose hair, approximately 33% but it won't be too noticable to others. Not a problem though because it does grow back. I started taking biotin and silica at 2 weeks out and I have so much hair growing all over the place. Places I really don't want it to grow! The hair loss was scarey, but now it's like, wow, I am looking so good and I don't really miss the hair that fell out. Hair is hair, sexy body is awesome! Love my skinniness!
  13. Are you really going to wait until Tuesday to call them? I wouldn't, I'd call back on friday. There's no harm and no foul to calling earlier! Let us know what happens.
  14. So, for you lovely skinny people who have lost a significant amount of weight, have you experienced times when you were totally off balance and being blown away by the wind? Or off balance just plain walking? I find myself eperiencing this at times also and it does scare me, I start thinking, WTH? LOL This is a really weird NSV!! LOL
  15. Patick: good point, i had forgotten about when I had to take an NSAID for a heal spur and at that time, I also had no HA's. I think someone should research this.
  16. I will be thinking of u today! This is a new beginning for u. I hope ur mom will bc supportive when u have ur surgery. She's afraid she will lose u. She is clueless to wls.
  17. I was a total diet pepsi person all my life. I have read studies where diet coke and coke cause weight gain. The chemicals are horrible. So I decided to get the sleeve and to have a healthier life style. I have gone organic and basically eat the healthiest of foods. Afterall I choose to eat leas and healthier! Not enough room in my stomach for junk.
  18. Sleevedreamer, look at you! You look fantastic. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY for no more migraines.
  19. Patrick. Since having this surgery I have not had any migraines. Yay! My surgeon told me that there are not a lot of studies done but people with wls are reporting that with wls, they're having a decrease to none in HA's. Now I did watch Dr Oz and he was dividing up a cadaver and heade a statement about fatty tissue in the brain that affects our cognitive abilities. My doc said it's like endocjephsis it makes since. I'm so happy I have a skinny brain now. No HA's works great for me.
  20. MegInNOLA: You lost a pound at sea! How awesome is that? Welcome back, we've missed you. You are doing really great with the swifting things around. I too am focusing more on veggies and trying to get more fresh fruit in. I go down a couple of pounds and then up a couple of pounds. It is what it is and thank you for the compliment on my pick.
  21. It's not advisable to add berries to your diet due to the seeds getting trapped in you stapleline and causing infections.
  22. CONGRATS! It is hard watching others eat our favorite foods. It will get better really soon. I promise you that!
  23. It is hard to get the water in the beginning. You have to sip, sip, sip, and sometimes it causes a little discomfort. Not much, but some. It does go away and with time, it does get better. At 8 months out I am able to take 4 big swallows with no problem. But I am afraid to push it.
  24. I would love to hear more on this topic!
