Holidays And Food!
Ms skinniness replied to newdaycomn's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
This is really scary stuff. We take 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I have been eating some sweets with no repercussions. That scares me, I'm afraid I'm going to stop my weight loss, or worst gain some weight. I'm not sure what sliders are? Can anybody describe what a slider is? -

Slightly Dizzy, Lightheaded 3 Days Post Gastric Sleeve Surgery?
Ms skinniness replied to LoserMama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should check with your doc. Your blood pressure might be lower now and therefore your meds for BP need to be adjusted. -
I have a Mirena place before I had my surgery. I am loosing weight fast and don't even know it's in. When they put it in, it felt like cramping but went away quickly, no more problems after that. I love it. No problems with my weight loss.

I did this about 3 weeks, I was so hungry and I automatically took a bite of a trix candy. I chewed it and then spit it out because I got scared about a reaction to the sugar. Nothing happened. LOL

First Time Going Out To Eat After Gastric Sleeve Surgery
Ms skinniness replied to illgeturhairdid's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I like to go sample my husband's food. Last night we went to Mimi's and we ordered a steak with baked potato and veggie's. He ordered a ceaser salad and french onion soup, he thought he's not quite sure about sharing yet (he is new at this). But he actually ended up taking 1/2 the steak and 1/2 his potato home. It was fun.... I only eat about 5 bites at the most. Have fun and Merry Christmas. -

Am I Really Ready For The Inevitable Lifestyle Change. Were U?
Ms skinniness replied to Kareforme's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm 11 weeks post op. I find that this is the best thing that's ever happened to me or for me. I had a little bit of pain from my incisions and went back to work 1 week after the surgery. I find myself getting hungry around meal time, but I think that might be stomach acid so I started taking prilosec. It's better. I have lost 43.3 lbs since my surgery on Oct 4, 2011. More amazing is that I have lost alot of inches and am now into a medium size clothing and I love it. Still loosing and that's great..... It is life changing! Best decision I have ever made. -

Yes, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and I know that it's important to learn what's driving us to our emotional eating. A therapist can help you learn coping skills to help with the pit falls that can sabotage us. I like to focus on our automatic negative thoughts that we have to sabotage our success. For example: a common core thought we all have is "I''m not good enough." It can help allieviate our fears and move past them. Anyway's I am so proud of you for all the hard work you've done already! Good Job!

So Frustrating!
Ms skinniness replied to Missnurse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The stress you have from watching the scale is horrible. Perhaps you can sit back and enjoy the evolving new you come into the picture. It's fascinating when you put on your slacks in the morning and within 3 hours they're really baggy. LOL. That is rewarding. Scales just make us alot of times. We all have stalls, I just don't notice mine bc I don't look at the scales. Just keep thingking positive thoughts and the weight will drop right off before you know it! LOL -
I Would Love Some Feed Back On This Question!
Ms skinniness replied to Makingchanges's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The first 3 weeks I ate yougurt, pudding, and liquids along with my protein shakes. The second 3 weeks I added some fish, flaked, salmon or tuna with a tiny bit of mayo. It was okay. I tried chicken that was really moisted and it was okay, but chicken that was a little dry, wasn't too comfortable. -
Baking For Christmas And A Wish For The Future
Ms skinniness replied to Foxbins's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I love that you are on top of things now. No more cravings and having control of the sweets you munch on. I too have cut my sweets out. It feels really good and I question myself about my weight loss being because of the surgery or the high protein diet I eat. No worries, I don't really care now because I love my weight loss and will keep up because I can't go back. Love the new me. Merry Christmas! -
