I am so excited for you Lynda and Forensikchic! CONGRATS! Now that weight is slower to come off, like at a stand still, can I ask what your diets look like? I am so stuck and I thought that if I upped my calorie intake, it would jolt the weight loss to happen. And it hasn't happened yet! So I really respect the experts on this site who have been successful. You can see my diet on Myfitnesspal.com with my usernane: dorrierobles2003. Any feedback would be helpful. I have been pretty adamant on logging up until friday and then I left town for the weekend. The mountains were absolutely beautiful. Thanks

5 Months Out And Only 35#s Down?!?
Ms skinniness replied to St. Louis Sarah's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5'6" tall and I have slowed to a halt my weight loss. This weekend I was just so frustrated that I decided have a free weekend. So I allowed myself to have half of my hubby's sandwich, in which I discovered that the wheat bread tasted horrid so I discarded it. Today I ate a bag of chili fritos! So disappointed in my choices. So tomorrow I will be on The Basic bootcamp diet. Anyways, I would like to lose about 20 more lbs and I am waiting to see if by the increase in calories, that I may start a weight loss. Anyways, we can do this, it just might take a little longer. After all, this is not a race, it is a life style change. I need to stop making stupid decisions and eat non-processed foods and veggies. -
Watching Ppl Eat Is Gross
Ms skinniness replied to erin00glen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am totally disgusted by eating out with my hubby. He eats, and eats, and eats, and he eats really fast. He reminds me of a vulture waiting for my left overs. i feel kinda guilty because he is a very supportive, sweet, husband. But he's also diabetic with high chlesterol and blood glucose is out of control. -
Cleaning Out Closet
Ms skinniness replied to Iliana82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to clean my closet out too. It was painful because some of the cloths were new and some I really liked a lot. Oh well, out with the old, in with the new. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! -

Looking For Help On My Journey!
Ms skinniness replied to lysh's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Amanda is right on. We all can only eat 5 -6 bites at this stage. If the puree is bothering you a lot, go back to liquids for a few days. Your stomach might not be ready yet and needs a little quiet time. It's so hard to be patient with the process, but worth it! CONGRATs! -

Weight Gained Since Having Gastric Sleeve Surgery
Ms skinniness replied to sleeve 4 me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Amherst: I was sleeved on Oct 4, 2011 and I am basically at a stand still in my weight loss. Today is a day where I had reverted back to old eating habits. But the day is not done and I will chose to have chicken noodle soup. I can eat a lot of the sliders food in large quanities now. But I have decided that today is my funeral day for those horrible foods. Yes, I can eat a little more now, but still not a lot. I struggle with fears of gaining the weight back. LOL. So, tomorrow I will eat healthier foods and kick start my weight loss. Last week I was getting in mostly 900 calories and sometimes 1000. I have read a lot about increasing calories to help with weight loss, so this week should of done it. LOL. Hang in there and make a decision to eat healthier, and perhaps splurge every now and then. Let me know how your doing. How many calories do you eat and what kind of foods? What size portions are you eating? -
I had a horrible dream last night, I dreamt that I had globs of hair falling out in my hand on my left side. Went to the hairdresser and some lady told me that someone in my other half of my family was going to die. WTH? I have never heard that before. Has anyone else?

Not at 2 weeks out. They would be very dry for your stomach. I was on liquids for the first 3 weeks, pureed for 3 weeks, mushies for 3 weeks and then semi solids. Even at 5.5 months post op, I can basically tolerate moist meats. Don't push it, it will happen soon enough. Just play it safe. Your doing great so far. Keep it up!

Today I went to the hair salon and a lady heard me talking to my hair dresser about my weight loss, and the lady sitting there asked me how I had lost all the weight. I hesitated for a moment and then just told her about my wls. She was really interested and asked a lot of questions. I didn't worry about what she thought. but I did ask my hairdresser about the owner of the salon and whether he had his GBS. She told me no, that they had post poned the surgery and he took it as a sign he wasn't suppose to have the surgery. I was so tempted to go up to him and tell him about my surgery but didn't have the nerve. I also thought it would be very rude of me to intrude on him like that because he doesn't really know me. I really do want to talk to him though. What should I do?

Can You Drink More Than You Can Eat?
Ms skinniness replied to bnorms's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The further you get after surgery, the more water you will be able to drink. In the beginning, your stomach will be very swollen and will only be able to get a few sips of water or juice into the space. On youtube.com Dr alvarez has a video that educates on the vertical sleeve procedure. I highly recommend that you watch the video. This is the best decision I have ever made was to have the sleeve. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! -
I won't buy cloths at Target any more. I like Victoria Secret, Forever 21,Macys, Jc Penny's, Nordstrum's Rack. They're much prettier also. Hehehehehehe!

Flame Free Friday Confessions!
Ms skinniness replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been reading some posts today and all of a sudden I got really sad. I got this fear that the weight off and it's going to come back. How fearful is this. I know that it's up to me to eat healthy and I do need to make great choices. It's just a really weird emotion for me to have right now. Bah humbug!
