I personally didnt tell people until like the week of surgery , besides of course CLOSE family and CLOSE friends. My reasoning was bc I was affriad it like wasnt going to happen, everything was going so smooth i felt it was to good to be true lol. Low and behold i am now 1 week post !!!! I also was a little embarassed at first until i finaly came to realize this is my life and if people are going to judge then I dont need them in my life, luckily I got a lot of positive support, a few iffy ones here and there but mainly bc they just dont understand and never had a weight problem, but they dont even MaTTer .So I would say YEs tell but be very strong in your decision and have alll the answers to back up allllll of there questions. Once they realize how happy you are and how much researched you did they will get it and be happy. Make sure you explain its not the easy way out and you have to wk your butt off!!!
