Nice to get a new pic for your license... They seem to have better ( digital?) cameras. I finally got a decent pic that doesn't look like a mug shot... So glad to get rid of the last big pic a few years ago Hope your new pic is flattering... I take mine out a lot... Bank. Airports.. Hotels. It is nice when it is pleasant. Cheese!

Good options for me when flying: bananas, jerky, string cheese, nuts, Apple, protein bars.... Gets me to my destination ... Protein drinks seem easier all the time to find when I get to my destination.✈️good luck!

Sorry lap band is not going to help you and rather hurtful instead . Please know many of us bandsters are very happy years out. I tell people to HAVE WLS .... It does help many people. Please remember it could be better for others. Good luck.

I agree the banisters need to support each other. I do understand the band does not work for many.... But for me, it changed the trajectory of my life. No doubt. I'm coming up on 9 years banded and am guessing I would have been over 300 lbs had I not turned things around! I'm close to my high school weight and am content with my body and body image.... I struggled with that for a decade. So I read all banded stories but adore us long termers supporting the newbies....ok. I draw the line at recent post ops asking when they can have pizza, fast food etc... Gotta get your head in the game .. Just my weds ramble ????

I believe my tactic this year will be to go to the movies on Halloween. I have no grandchildren yet... I do NOT keep chocolate in the house. ( she is my siren and sings to me after dark) All the kids have grown up in the neighborhood.... I don't want to eat candy for the possibility of a random child trick or treating....but it is joyful to see the little ones dressed up????????

She somehow intrigues me. I don't know that I could be comfortable in her skin... But admire her sense of lightness of personality . I do like her parents... What strength it took to film the show and how many of us would open our fat lives to the public? Truly. I do get it is not reality

It is a great feeling to get under 200... Someone said " I don't remember going over 200, but always remember getting under"... I second that emotion

I adore TJ for yogurt , artichokes, fresh Veges ,nuts and healthy meats. Very reasonable store.

Happy for your healthy life. Keeping weight off for years was unknown to me. But now is heavenly!

In March. I lost 5 lbs w/ a tummy tuck and promptly got the flu for a week... Another 5 lbs. At goal. For about 2 weeks guess I didn't really lose it. It came back...same 10 lbs. ...flat stomach though ???? I am unfilled (banded) so that does not help... Staying at same weight ...but gasping until my fill in 2 weeks

So sorry for your loss.???? Living a new life... Without coping skills involving food is challenging I'm sorry he had to go...I'm hearing you say how tired his body Was ... Wishing strength and peace for you.

Jamielogical Enlightened me that Quest changed their bars. They now use insoluble corn Fiber. Lovely. But the flatulence is incredible. Wondering why I was having this issue. Got an old box and no problems... New ones have given several of us gas! Just a bariatric pal to pal warning

Well. I was thrilled when my TT dr informed me they also lipo the mons area as well as the back of the hips for a smoother look. Last march it was all completed . Previously, I was a bit self conscious in my work out clothes....Now I see a flat area instead of a " hump" in my lady area... Just an added perk I did not know about. But very thankful for!

And it takes longer than you may have thought...and costs $$... They are alike

Nice to see you posting again Cheryl We are all at our own levels with this band trip. I go for a fill in about 3 weeks and know I'm up a bit.... But I will resume banded life....and lifestyle Flying home tomorrow ✈️ This is the The best week I've had since being widowed last year.... Haven't cried in many days????There is life out there ! I have faith by Christmas things will be right where they need to be ⭐️

Trader joes has frozen steel oats and quinoa. Separate and mixed. Easier for quicker meals. But I don't mind stirring the pot for ten minutes. Some of the only cooling i do ...except bake chicken and make a vege dish!

Babbs Thanks for those words... There are awful afflictions... My family has a member with mental issues who will never be right. Probably never live on her own.. Doesn't fit in in a group setting. Had thousands upon thousands spent in treatment... To no avail. Don't get me started about meth and other drugs that remove people from being productive members of our society. So an adult child who weighs more than what is healthy seems to pale in comparison.... A job, a partner, a decent home and a genuine nice person. All I need to feel like they are successful.????thanks

You sound so ready to change your life! I adore hearing from those that take surgery very seriously .... And the path that is ahead. Your head sounds ready to have a smaller body to move around! I predict a great outcome ....magic 8 ball....(for older people to get) PLease keep us updated... Some of us veterans live vicariously through the new post ops energy. I do not believe you will be posting about when you can eat pizza! ( one of the warning signs , to me, of a rough time ahead!!????) I'm saying you are so much better without him being an anchor... Still he had the power to frustrate you... I'm hoping as your pending divorce goes forward, he will lose his ability to control how you react to him. Most controllers ...in my humble opinion ...Want the control and get very angry and or hurtful at not being to MAKE you do as he wants. Ha!! Not any more... House will get settled I'm sure. At some later point Your bariatric life will continue because you do the work.. Ok. At times (I) we slip, as the years go on, but then it focuses back and another few months go by without hard challenges.... Sending you strength ... ????
