    New beginning!

Plenty of people post about gains and not seeing the doc. Try to Pick yourself up if you really want this... You can do it w/ help from your tool and your head and maybe a support group? Good luck

    Feel like a grinch

Thank you for your kind words???? kinda like I have to go through the fire to start the NewYear. Mourning what could and should have been Not turning to food to cope thankfully????. Thanks WLS friends
  5. Not so funny... Little league years back. I wouldn't sit down in those flimsy aluminum chairs... I made a joke about it and my dear friend laughed( she was not small). She proceeded to sit and went ass over teakettle. In front of the whole 2 teams .... We both started weight loss and still work at it to this day. Not funny to us

Thank goodness for more rain in northern California in a week or so than we had all of last year☔️☔️ harder to get around ... but better for water rationing. Happy to be cozy and dry

    2-weeks post-op

I've seen it mentioned here a lot. Smooth move tea. Seems to get things moving along. Worth a try I am a believer... Years out and still deal w/ those issues????

    Support group meetin

I find the support groups very helpful. Even years out. I must admit that the pre op or newbies take a lot of time and have long winded rants and advice(!) Perhaps a new group for seasoned vets would be helpful for exchanging info for years to follow. Thanks for the info????

    Checking in...

Sorry no home improvement projects here. But... I had my check up w/ the doc in San Jose Glad to hear 8 years ago, the band I had implanted was improved from previous models. He said it could stay forever. Yippee just knowing it is there helps... And a bonus was I lost over 5 lbs since I saw him earlier this year. Wasn't expecting that. Except I was chasing a ball down the street a couple weeks ago and my pants fell down. That has NEVER happened in my life!!! In my former life I couldn't wait to undo my pants!! (Bought a smaller size today)

What great fun! I'm guessing it is much different than if you had gone years ago ( or even if you would have gone) congrats on a fun reunion
  12. Nice pictures. Great job working on yourself. What a healthy new year you have coming. I'm sooo sorry to hear your dodgers can't buy baseball magic. Us Giants just have it⚾️⚾️⚾️
  13. Good post@kindle❤️. All so true and us seasoned ones have probably been through the majority of the stages you mentioned.... That said. Saggy parts and all... I wouldn't change my WLS choice for anything. Yearly check up for me Monday. No surprises after 8 years. Hopefully... I am thankful for my community of pals. Even if I couldn't pick you out of a crowd if one! I lean on this board almost everyday ????

  16. I so agree gr8. There was a period of wondering how I would cope without my favorite stress relievers. How my life was going to be different The unknown. However a HUGE difference is removing the insatiable hunger. Food is just not so important I learned. I don't obsess about meals....It is just what I need. Big mind shift that I wish for all. So glad I changed my life. For years and years now. It can be done with some help. Best of luck

I, too, am living vicariously through others in grand parenting . The best news is my 25 yr old ( youngest) is engaged to be married in May Very excited.. And she adores him. So if the oldest ever grows up....in a few years I'll be ready for the next step. Trying to just adjust for now. Happy for those who embrace grand parenting ????
