    10 Month Measurements

this was sooo motivating to see your results! good job!! i am about 8 weeks out, and it is encouraging to see fab numbers!!
  2. You look great!!! What a difference in 2 months!
  3. I understand how you feel!!! I am three weeks out today and have lost 23 pounds but the scale hasn't moved now for 10 days!!! It's frustrating cause you just want to see the numbers going down and down but you will notice other changes.. Maybe your pants feel looser, my face looks thinner... So keep it up and the weight will start going down, for both of us!
  4. Congrats!!! I'm only a few weeks out and look forward to the same type of achievements!!!

    Photo Update

    you look fabulous!
  7. i am now 12 days post op, and still experience hiccups every now and then. I think for me, hiccups is my "full" sign...i usually get it after i sip a good amount of liquids.. but the hiccups have definitely been less since surgery. I also did not have terrible gas pains. Every now and then I would have some slight pains like around my shoulder, but if i let out a burp it would go away...hope this info helps and good luck! each day really is easier easier...
  8. My hubby bought me Popsicles the other day and I realized this evening that the are not sugar free. Im worried, will this have a negative effect on my weight loss or sleeve? I ate about 4.....

    Regular Sugar

Thanks everyone for the input! I feel more at ease !!!
  10. Hey everyone!!! I was sleeved on Dec 28th. So far post op I have lost 20 pounds!! Definitely the hardest part is the smell of food....head hunger...and I can no longer tolerate broth. Also I am having a hard time getting in all my protein. Recovery is going well, trying to take it easy but I am also very very tired a lot! I go back to work Monday so that's a little stressful. It would be great to take anotherb2 weeks!!! But congrats to everyone!!!! It's very exciting!!!!

  12. Hi everyone. Today I am exactly on week out and have lost 14 pounds!! Can't believe it myself! But I am having a very hard time getting in my protein during this liquid phase. I bought protein shakes but just can't stomach the taste! Any tips on how to make it taste better or which proteins should I try??? Please help I'm probably only getting 10 grams a day....
  13. Thanks everyone for the tips and protein choices!
  14. Thanks!!! I was worried my hair would start falling out like next week! My taste buds are crazy everything tastes sooooo sweet! Even shakes. I've been living off also homemade broth and sugar free Popsicles. And good luck to u !!!!
  15. Me too! I was sleeved on the 28th and was worried about my water intake. I got in about 8 oz of water some broth and a little jello today. I hope to get some protein in tomorrow! Good luck!!!!!
  16. COngratulations on getting your date!! i am not too far behind you. my date is set for 12/28!! and start my pre-op diet on Monday...
  17. I am so ready to be smaller than my hubby! and to go shopping and wear what I really want to wear, instead of being limited by styles and stores and sizes....
  18. i understand how you feel! when i got my surgery date, (DEC 28!!!) my husband was happy for me but i could tell he was worried. He wasn't quite jumping up and down like i was or wanted him too. I asked him what was wrong, and he told me that he knew i was excited and he is too, but he worries, cause it is such a major surgery. i think the best thing to do, is just let him know that you are confident with your surgeon, confident about the procedure and that you understand that he is worried, but he doesn't need to be. I do think its very sweet that he is in the kitchen experimenting with the combos of broth etc. you are a blessed woman! i will be praying his strength and no worrying for your hubby! take care!!!!
  19. i am scheduled for surgery end of December and inam zoo mad at myself because during the past 3 months I have put on 15 pounds and am at my heaviest. It's like I was trying to eat everything before I "couldn't". Well I start my 2 week pre op on Dec 14th and am hoping to drop some of this weight I put on.... Anyone else been in the same scenario?
  20. another realization that I came too, is that I am finally ready to make a difference and change my life for the better by being healthy, confident, and break my addiction with food, thats why I decided to follow through with the appointments and follow ups and forms and insurance... But I realize, i am ready for that change now,not tomorrow, not next week, not on the day of surgery. (Of course, i know after surgery i will be forced too, and that is what I need to keep me on track)...but every pound here on out is closer to my goal weight.... This board has been soooo encouraging for me to get started right now! I just want to wish everyone much success in the pre-op phase and once surgery is completed!! i can't wait !!!!
  21. Thanks Everyone for the good advice! After reading some of your posts, i have buckled down and eating better, preparing myself for the pre-op diet which i start on the 14th. Like you all have said I want to maximize this opportunity and each pound is closer to my goal!!!
  22. ILKrista, thank you for the words of encouragement. Today, right now i am going to watch what i eat and be mindful of the blessing that i have coming up on the 28th! Its so hard and so easy to gain the weight!!!
  23. Hi! I just wanted to say I def understand the overwhelming feeling but keep up with it! It's so worth it. I went to my initial appt at the end of august and I also had to complete 3 months of supervised diet. I got my surgery date and approval from insurance the week before thanksgiving. Yeahhh! So it took me about 3 months to finish everything. Now I will be sleeved in December and sooo excited!
