    Eating Too Fast?

and don't watch TV or be distracted while eating. i found i used to do that. that seems like alot in 5 minutes so slow down. it will become habit to you after a while, just be very aware of it right now. Like nikij said, put your fork/spoon down between bites-that's good info! and she is right. i am 12 mos out and i still find myself eating too fast and bigger bites and have to slow down. keep up the good work. that tightening squeez lets me know i am eating too fast and slow down..lol
  2. I am thinking about going back to square one so i can lose again. i have been at a "stall" which you would say but i would call it "done deal" since March of this year! I am frustrated and I get no help from the dr office or dietician. Maybe go back to protein shakes-like the ones that are 60g serving and go back on liquids again. I really hate to do that but I can't keep doin what i am doin! not working! i have only lost 30 lbs since sleeve last year-actually tomorrow the 22nd is my one year sleeve anniversary. My husband had it and he has lost almost 90 lbs since Feb this year and he eats whatever he wants-when he wants..does no cardio-just push ups and weights..any suggestions folks? this is becoming a very very sensitive subject with me. i am eating 2 salads everyday with NO dressing and i am over it..let me hear from you if you have ever went thru this. i have switched things around,, increased exercise, don't know where to go here....help if u can!
  3. For breakfast i usually eat 1 egg with slice cheese mixed with 1/4c grits. Lunch is usually salad(lettuce, carrots) with either chicken or turkey and i like to add a few pretzels just for crunch and carb. Supper-I eat left overs or sometimes just a atkins shake or bar. some days i don't feel i get enough cals in but i love love love salads! with NO dressing either.
  4. Just my opinon that you may not be eating enough calories..count them one day and just see. i did the same thing and dr told me to increase my cals.....
  5. I had the sleeve one year ago-exactly..i lost 30 lbs the first 3 mos and then stopped. thought it was just a stall. so , i increased exercise and per the dr needed to increase calories...wrong! gained 5-8 pounds and have not gotten it off yet. had labs done today, so we will see. i have not lost one inch or pound since March of this year. very very disgusted. i eat protein all day-a least 2 salads a day-NO dressing and i don't understand. i walked 2 miles a day and 600 sit ups..it has done Nothing...i mean nothing. i don't get it. i am very disappointed, even though i have lost 30 lbs since surgery, i had lost 50 preop. so, i don't think i am in a stall anymore! not a 9 month stall anyway. my body is either starving and holding onto every ounce of fat or something weird is going on. I get over 100 oz water a day-that is all i drink now. i get 60-85 g Protein in daily. the dietcian can't even figure this one out. surely we are not the only ones this is hppening to. at times i regret doing it. but i keep up the faith and believe i will start losing soon. dr's say i am on "track" whatever....

    Acne??!! Really??!!

OMG! Yes, I now have acne like you've never seen before. I have never-and i mean never had acne in my entire life as a teen, or even in pregnancy my face was so clear and smooth. Now, i have a new zit everyday i wake up! it's bad! and gross..... i thought it was the oils in the nuts i was eating but cut that out and changed diet all around and i still have them..let me know if you find anything that helps...maybe its just our bodies adjusting???? not sure but I feel ya girl!
  7. I had the sleeve done last Thanksgiving. I would plateau for a while then start losing again. Remember your body is adjusting and trying to adjust so keep up the good work and don't give up.
