I was a band to sleeve on 12/13/13 and I feel pretty good. I have been out shopping and driving since about Tuesday. I started mushy food on Thursday and that was great. I have been getting in most of my Water and Protein.< /p>
Hw 258
Sw 204
Cw 196
I can't believe how much this surgery has changed my weight loss. I am very excited to move forward.

I was sleeved 12/10 (and then more surgery 12/15 for internal bleeding) and doing ok now. Having difficulty getting in Protein, as the shakes make me gag. I'm probably only getting 15 grams of protein a day now, which is not good. Looking forward to mushy stage next week.
Glad your doing better. You will get there on the protein soon it takes time. I was sleeved on the 13 th and I still have trouble getting in enought protein too. It is getting better everyday. The shakes have been making me sick too. I found I had to try different types. I found yogurt was the best thing to feel better.

Well - The ONLY person I've told about my surgery just said to me:
"You've completely wrecked our routine"!
So much for support. I'm so pissed right now, I feel nauseous !!
That's not cool. So.etime people are jealous and say mean things or they are scared and can't have control of the situation. It is very unfortunate they are being like that.

Why are u having trouble breathing?!? Who did ur surgery?
I think it is because I am sore. So taking deep breaths hurts. Dr says I am doing great though.

I have been up and walking laps around the floor and even went downstairs to see my children last night. Breathing is a little hard at times but they have me on oxygen. I have not drank anything since Thursday night should get ice chips and Water this morning excited it went will and can't wait to get home.

I want to add that I didn't think my family would be so out of touch! Hubby left at 9 this morning for a final and don't return till 5 home fr 20 mins now gone again. Fed my kd popcorn for dinner! I hope this is not how he will behave for the next few weeks
I hope not that sucks he just left you all alone like that and then not to help with the kids is awful. I hope things get better and soon for you.

That's a lot to have done in one surgery. I hope you are feeling better.

So today I got my time for surgery on Friday which is 7:30 AM. This was great however then they told me that I had to go to liquid for the next 48 hours. I have been on the Optifast diet which has shakes, Protein Bars and Soups for 5 servings a day so the thought of just Soup and shakes sort of sucks. I know I can do this but it still sucks because when I saw the Dr. yesterday I asked and he said just keep doing what you have been doing. Craziness LOL. Can't wait for Friday to start a new journey in my life and get rid of the BAND that I still have.

My surgery is soo late today! 3:20!. Gonna be a long day.
Try and just take it easy today and stay active it can help the time pass. Congrats on your day.

I couldn't sleep all night. Since my paper work was submitted to the insurance yesterday, all I've been doing is think... If I continue to have sleepless nights until approval, I will be in big trouble since my finals are next week!
Try not to think of the hospital things, concentrate on your finals. They are more important than anything else right not and studing may help keep your mind off of everything else. I know because my last final is today and I have surgery on Friday. Good luck on your finals and your approval.

Hi all, a question for the pre-op dieters or this month's sleevers. Have any of you NOT lost any weight on pre-op, or lost very minimally? Going on day three here and gained two pounds even though I'm peeing like a race horse! I swear I could eat a sheet of drywall if it was put in front of me right now. Trying very hard to stick to the plan, this is a ton harder than I thought it would be
I have only lost about 5lbs thus far and I am on my last 4 days of preop diet and it is hard to stick with but you can do this just think of the goal at the end.

Unfortunately I will not be a December sleever. I won't get my date till Friday the 27th and she said my preop will be the the first week of January and surgery the second week. You guys are awesome. I guess I'm off to January 2014 page.
Oh my that stinks. Please keep us posted on your journey anyway.

I forgot to tell ya'll what my fortune cookie at my 'last supper' said: "Your golden opportunity is ahead of you". Yes, indeed- they have no idea. Love it when God speaks to me through fortune cookies...lol. This is a golden opportunity we have.
You have a great out look, and Congrats on you AA in nursing. I hope you fond a school you like. That is a hard feild and the schools keep changing what you have to do to get in. So be prepared for anything. I know because I work at a college.

First, I want to thank the person who offered me support when I was struggling with life circumstances last week. I never got around to thanking you. I'm doing better with my breakup than I was before, and my mom will be coming with me to the hospital the day of surgery.
So tonight was my last night of 'normal' eating. 2 week preop diet begins tomorrow with 3 shakes and one small meal a day. I took my son out to our favorite chinese place for my 'last supper'. When it was time to pay the bill a bit of a panic attack got me. The reality of what is coming in 14 days started to leak in a bit.
Good luck to the upcoming sleevers and those postop in your recovery.
Glad your doing better and your mom is coming to help you out. It is weird how life changes when we least expect. It seems to happen to me all the time, but what is even better is the Blessings that come out of it. You got this and I pray everything will work out great for you.
